Not perfect by any means, but it will have to do :meh:

Ordered up a new wood trim kit from SD today :)

Went with Redwood Burl

X50 that bugging out maximally was the right move here. Even a good shooter knows when an opponent has an unforeseen tactical advantage over you and the time it takes to correct it would only increase his advantage. Correct response: Move fast. Incorrect response: Sit still long enough to turn his brief tactical advantage into his total victory.

Good job.

In your case you did do the right thing to leave. Glad you are alive. The most recent Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics on Carjacking I could find are here (enter carjacking as your search, it won't let me direct link to the documents):

Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS)

I'll let the numbers do the talking.

Some states have implemented "Shoot the Carjacker Laws" to deter this terrible Felony.

Faaaark! That's scary!
In Aus it's pretty unknown for a crim to have a gun since the gun laws were tightened up back a decade ago.
And since they set up the Injecting rooms and meth clinics in Sydney there's less f**ked up druggies.
Pretty much the only gun crime is between differing drug cartels ( who are both armed) or against security guards cause they also carry guns (some poor guy got shot 2 days ago).
If something like that happened here it would be front page news across the nation.

Impressed on how the truck has come up, you'd never know.
Did you ever find out where the last bullet ended up?

Wow. You're a lucky man. I'd be sitting on a brown mound looking out the sun roof.
