We have a nice straight road going up the hill side and has a about half mile of fairly steep incline; 50mph (speed limit) 5th gear and egt’s of just under 800F and 10ish psi boost, water 182F. At the end turn right and another short section climb of similar grade; speed 45mph (speed limit), egt just over 700F, 5th gear, boost about 8ish. psi. Once I get the brakes squared away I will go on a long trip that has a nice long hill climb.

I would have never thought about that needing to be different.... oh, the little things.

The rear breather barb has been bent since I have had the ute. I tried searching for a replacement a while ago but could not find one. So I left it alone. Today I was replacing the differential fluids and when I opened the fill plug there was pressure in the diff. So I tried to straighten it gently just a little and snap. So now what? I had a brass barb in the tool box so I drilled the head and tapped as low as I dared to without removing the head. Then installed the new barb. Not perfect but I hope it holds. If anyone knows of a available replacement I sure would like to pick one up. This part is not like the others I have seen over the years.

I would just put a bolt there and tap a breather anywhere else on the tube.

I’d try to solder the brass barb in place.
