Love the grill! Anyone done this with a TJM T13? I’m thinking that would look pretty cool.

Little bit of smoked chrome emblem action....

However, for those more interested in the Toyota in letters, how about this idea?
How about the center caps on RW’s? I need them!

I picked up a TJM myself for my 2010. Just haven’t got around to getting it installed. Going for the same look as @Markuson

@Markuson what hi/low beam bulbs are you running in your headlamps? I am still running the older style headlamp assemblies. Just put in Osram Unlimited Nightbreakers for the Lo and Silverstar for the High. Better than stock, but still wanting a little more light here.

Yessir.... T13 + BGM

I was right. It does look cool. Love the old school TOYOYA badge. It instantly makes me think of my first LC an 87 FJ60. I’m all warm and fuzzy now.

I bought the larger “TOYOTA” emblem off Amazon for my mesh grille (PN 75311-90K00) but I didnt realize that it was the white letter version. Does anybody know the correct part number for the silver version? I looked up 75316-90A00 but I can’t tell for sure if it’s white or silver.

Be advised there is a new part number for the 17" RW center caps. The newer version has a shinier surface coating that looks like it will not flake off like the older version.

Old Part#: PTR45-34071 (Made in Taiwan)
New Part#: PTR18-34071 (Made in China)

Old Part on left, New Part on right:

New part fits perfectly and looks like it will be much more durable than the old one.

I was playing around with Photoshop today and got inspired by many of the retro-style grilles you've installed on your '08-'15s so I mocked up a partially smoked out front grille with the retro-badging and Bentley-style mesh (thanks, Markuson). Take a look:

Feasibility aside, what do you think of the look? I'm somewhat on the fence. Might feel differently if I had done it on a darker truck (whoops) and if the headlights were blacked out.

Nicely done! I think that the truck’s stance (e.g.; lifted, 305’s),more so than the color, is what would best compliment that grille.

Looks good. I've been thinking something similar w/a black tint on the chrome. I think the 80 series name plate would look sharp on a truck this size. It is a little bigger and more spread out. Just a different look. Dunno if one can get it without buying an 80-series grill, so it may not be feasible. Haven't looked.

go with the IPF LED headlight bulbs. they aren't that expensive, easy to install and make a world of difference.
do a quick search and you will find the thread on them. highly recommended!
