Put some trunk liner material on our storage boxes....forgot to take a pic of them attached. We used double stick tape....3M VHB 1". I don't think they will go anywhere.

Also decided yesterday that the paint finish on the doors wasn't really as good as it should have been. Those poor rear doors....they should have gone in the dumpster. Just a total mess. Decided to do them in Raptor.....then got rained out.
But it's FL so by afternoon it was nice enough out to shoot....

Rear doors all done.....kind of.....I have a grey inner rear door handle release that is hung up in Japan in a post office somewhere. No biggie. Color is a little off on the panels...for some reason it doesn't bother me. Really happy we went this route.

Somewhere in between all this stuff, we sprayed some flares on our shop Tacoma that were beat with some black Raptor.....so we sprayed a few pieces for Troopy....

And finally.....after a bit of a wait.....new OEM door glass. Had to swap over these 'sashes' as I seem to recall....had to order them for our 79 when we switched over from manual to power windows.
If you've never had to remove these from a window....you take a soft faced hammer and a block of wood and slowly work them off. Kind of sketchy if you're not a glass guy doing this stuff day in and day out. Very satisfying.
Filthy like everything else on Troopy. Should have bought new but these worked.

New outside and inside felts and seals. Should be good for a long time.
And finally......all the windows are in. Strange to shut the doors now and have a bit of resistance. Pretty soon we'll be driving this thing!

Boredom isn't all too common around here
If there's enough interest, I could probably do a run of them. I've got a guy a few streets down that can do all the cutting. No idea what they'd cost.

Time for door panels. Going with some used panels from the 79....these were ones that I sprayed with SEM dye. Used the last set of speaker pods I had along with the JBL JT0629 speakers....really nice setup. Had to run some wires of course...easy to do with no dash.

Have a little issue happening right here.....a 79 pickup rear section of vinyl flooring will NOT fit a Troopy's middle section. Only the piece for the 78 is available(no piece for 75 available)....but it's mucho dinero.....so I think we'll make something up to fill in this gap. I have some leftover front sections that I might be able to section out some patch pieces. Not usually how we do things but this is a work truck......this is a work truck.....this is a work truck.....this is a work truck...

Decided to check fit on the rear seat.....and..........they didn't fit BUT it's an easy fix.
I suspect that this truck had some kind of roll bar or something installed in it. There are 6 welded plates on the floor....and those have 4 holes drilled into them. Kind of like how a roll bar would mount.
I think that when they put the plates on the wheel wells, they removed one of the brackets that holds the seat....kind of an angled bracket for one of the seat legs. The rear seat bracket is there....forward rear seat bracket isn't. So we'll make something. Should have checked this out BEFORE spraying the Raptor.
78 series rear seat I think....matches the 76 front seats.....total mutt of an interior. Sure beats the interior it came with.....
You can see the mounting plate in this pic....and of course the missing mount.
We'll weld up a new base for the leg to allow it to bolt to the floor.
