Looking good! Changing the tires improved the appearance but not nearly as much as painting the grille and headlight surrounds the original color! Gary S
Of course you should keep her - good decision!
I wonder why the tires wouldn't mount?
I am sure you an find a buyer for the PTO winch... How much are you looking to get for the winch?
She is a California Pig?
Here is a link to a video showing why the tires were such a pain to bead.

Did the ratchet strap thing and it did absolutely nothing.

in the middle or on the side like he did?
in the middle, you have to crank it tight until the beads are pressed sharp against the rim. now that you can't get good starting fluid, i use it all the time. starting fluid used to be my way of choice with ratchet strap being used in a pinch
That is me in the video and I tried the ratchet strap down the middle first then tried so flammable liquid .
Looking great! Jesus H, looks like it would have been easier to just pay someone the $60 to mount those tires though. ha! Still interested in riding Cache Creek trails this fall-winter?
Yeah, I was kinda scared to ask about Bigsal's picture![]()
Ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaa! That is not me... just for the record. I am a wee bit less attractive than that guy. Just a funny pic is all it is.
Yep I understand the kid thing. Mine is now 14, so she is happy to see me drive away to go do nasty things like ride mountain bikes... without her!
She loves the cruiser though. We ought to go hit Gold Lake some time though. I'd love to roll in there with a couple pigs. Look it up... 4 x 4 campground Gold Lake. Savannah ( my daughter) can babysit. ;p
Here's a shot of me in my natural habitat, wheeling into Gold Lake.
What's next fer the pig?
Just bought a wrecked fj60 for the 4spd and disc brakes. Looks like there is no stopping now. Bought a 4runner with blown head gaskets (shocker I know) and am half way through the repair so I will have a dd while the pig gets new innards! So excited to have stopping power and synchros! simple is usually right... 1973 fj55
