This might be what I have to switch to. The High Mount kit came with my motor and the SD7 compressor. I’ll have to look at it more closely. I forgot how much smaller that SD7 is. The oem compressor was going to have issues.

Oh wait, I thought that was literally your air compressor. I glanced and immediately thought it was a York. Not your AC compressor. Yeah, that needs to be moved.

The ac bracket is a holley high mount with SD7 compressor. I just ordered the Holley low mount.
Are you going to have interference issues running your alternator out that far? Seems like you could use a shorter bracket there too and avoid running really tight to your battery box.

Pretty sure I am good on the Alternator. I’ll throw the battery box in place today and check though.

OK, So I did a ls swap ( 93 fj 80) love it but in the process had the ecu wiring ripped out for my lockers. The wiring from the engine compartment to the passenger firewall gone. a couple of cut lines in a frenzied ( were putting a whole new monster in here and wont be needing this anymore ) episode. I know chastise me later. My question is, without the plugs on the passenger firewall,
which wires do I need to make the centerdiff lock and unlock? I put the 7 pinmod in place, my relays are still there, I just cant decipher what I would need to fire it up. The other lockers I can wait on, but in the snow it had a hard time (30"s of)
should I start from scratch? Is it possible to wire in the center diff as a standlone unit?
My front and rear acuators are fried. So I would be happy with the center but after hours of wiring diagrams and toning guessing etc, havent found a soloution yet.
Any input would be huge.
Thanks again
on a budget 😁
There is a single harness (several plugs that has all the t-case sending units) that runs up the inside of the tunnel and IIRC, ends at the firewall. I’ve got the electrical ‘93 wiring at home can check more specifics in a few days. As I recall the last thing I needed to get CDL, was a good ground for that system.

If it were me, I would redo the 7th pin, until I got everything working per stock just to be sure I wasn’t causing my own problems

Why not just run the truck accessory drive and intake that is completely free and works in an 80 like it’s designed for it

Any reason not to consider an Express/Savanna as a donor? It seems the return system is different, but I don’t think it matters, if one uses the corvette fpr.

Do they retain the truck accessories and intake?

I know of no reason not to use one. Yes I believe they come with truck stuff.

I have read that the LQ4 and LQ9 motors are great options when it comes to swaps. Also, GM made a ton of them designed for mid-range torque but the intake manifold can be swapped out to meet your needs as far as where you target HP mark is.

The GM donor vans usually have been used by contractors in my area, they never take care of them, so check it out as best you can before you buy.

Hey thanks! Got it working! Just a paitient game and a pain because the connectors were jammed up above the ac compartment. Works like a champ using the old ect button as a on off. I just have to find the other side of the light for the position sensor to the dash in the mess of wiring. The colors match nothing i have :bang: B
