I thought it be good to do a front and rear a/c system in something that large... like in vans
Great find! I have loved Troopys since the first one I saw. City Racer Llc OT @Racer 65? Here on mud may have the gaskets, or @ToyotaMatt. I am also in Arizona and would love to see your Troopy sometime. TomOK folks time for a couple questions. Number one the sliding window tracks are glued in really well and all of the surrounding sheet-metal is clean and rust free any downside to leaving them in place and painting around them, the exterior and interior weatherstripping will greatly overlap any of the new paint.
And secondly am I nuts for trying to save the corner window gaskets? They’re in good shape but I don’t feel good about trying to pop those out and not break the windows. Welcome your feedback . Thanks!View attachment 2127503View attachment 2127507View attachment 2127508View attachment 2127509View attachment 2127510

Thanks for the tips. I’ll cut out the corner window seals when the time comesRemoving the sliding windows you need to
Remove the pinchweld inside the cab, then I see the outer w/s are removed. The sash is glued to the upper side panels with a butyl strip. That is that tar like stuff. You can separate it by heating the window lip from the inside (where the pinchweld was holding) with a heat gun, or stick blade between the panel and the sash and cut the butyl through.
The real art is to remove the butyl from both the panels and the sash once the windows off.
The full window kit is available in the US.
ask me how I knowah, and if you change all rubbers the corner windows shouldn’t be an exemption either. Also if you want to paint the whole lot you need to remove them and the seals often sacrificed for keeping the glass .
