Put the turbo where you want it and make an adapter. Shouldn’t take too long. Doesn’t have to look perfect, just has to seal. When your event is over, then you can have one made that’s more fancy pants.
My thoughts exactly. I want the turbo engineered, and to put all the toys I've purchased to use to get at least some return on investment, especially on this 2000km shakedown run. I'll want to make a stay from the turbo to the block somehow too..

You can do a nice job of a homemade manifold using cheap Schedule 40 black elbows, would be pretty easy for that simple adapter, get a couple of flanges cut out and draw file them flat after welding.

Got some Cygnus white on this arvo but I was rushing so its a less than ideal result. I didnt check my gun settings thoroughly enough and may have been too close to the panel in places.. This has resulted in some runs on the first coat in places.. its not great but its not the end of the world.. I need the body painted so i can continue fit out of the interior and can look at fixing the runs later.. I'll try and take more time for the rustic green

Know the feeling well. Even after farming out body and paint, there was still a lot to be done. But incredibly rewarding as it all comes back together. Nice job!

Might add one of those old Chevota emblems from Downey to mine if I could find one.

ive been crook the last week and its been getting colder so the combination of both of those things has made my time in the shed sparse.. but tonight i got the wiring run for the interior lights and glued in the headliner..

(still some head liner trimming to do)

However the other side which saw significantly more modifications is a bit more challenging.. after 5 goes I had to call it quits.. I tried the glass on its own (fits in the space), I tried the seal on its own (fits without any issues like gaps or bunching up).. I can usually get the bottom edge and one side in but not both or the top.. I'm going to source some better sized cord today as the only stuff I could find was pretty thick.. I'm also going to try again tonight with soapy water on the seal and rope too..

heres whats changed.. one big bit vs a few patches on the other side..
