ya, i was going to say turn up the heat or turn down the feed. But your last beads look nice. Good work.

This build is still progressing, even if its going slower than I'd like.. Recent progress includes the firewall and floor welded in, firewall to a-pillars welded, floor to inner sills and rear floor section welded.. I'm in the process of welding up front body mounts this weekend..

Welded the front body mounts in on the weekend and pushed the pig out of the shed so i could clean up in there a bit..

while it was outside i stripped the paint from the rear lower quarters to see what was hiding under there

Found a few other bits that need attention too but nothing as big as that patch..

7x firewall and floor
Been either looking after a sick wife or being sick myself for the last 5weeks.. but today i got some time in the shed..

wow that dash is DEEP...much deeper than the 55s dash...you're gunna need to bump the front seats back a bit???

Gunna be sweet. Still say it should have flip down glass and pop off top...

Ive still got the frp top and roll bar.. was considering the rear seats from the bj73 as a 3rd row in the pig.. depending on the state of the roof you never know that might happen! No flip down windscreen.though that was sold long ago and had a fair bit of rust down the bottom.. it would of made the wiper situation more straight forward though..

This will be very different to what I'm used to seeing, good progress.

Did some more today and tonight..
got the cowl cap burnt in..

been removing paint down to metal so I can treat rust and have a good idea of the state of things under the windscreen.. this lead me to venture to the lower a pillars with the wire wheel..

so its been a while since i've been in the shed.. although the last week i've been out there every night for a few hours.. its allowed me to get on with a few things..

With the new firewall I need to make some brackets in order to attach the inner fender to the firewall.. and i've replaced a few bits too.. When making the brackets for the inner fenders i added the front panels and the doors to make sure its all aligned to ensure the brackets are appropriate... this is the first time ive had the doors on since i did the sills so it was nice to see how they came out..

I had to massage the door and a pillar slightly so i could get the door to close..

I’d just notch the door and flip the cut out around and burn it back in bass ack wards. Should be a slam dunk for ya! Holy cow, I thought I did a lot of welding....

Good work, I meant to say...

I figure its a bit like.. "if you cant tie good knots, tie lots.." i know factory panels are spot welded but would hope by doing more welds it holds together better..

You and me both
