It's going to be a few days before I can get back and have a look. Your idea looks like it may work. I picked up a clamp for a V8 Land Rover that may work also.

I think its worth a shot if mine moves again. I’m hoping I just didn’t tighten it down hard enough the first time. I’ll check timing again after a few more miles.
And here's the newer clamp. Basically same clamp but machined not cast.

Looks like you can make 6 or 8 in one go on a mill with DRO.🤔
Make the hole in the size of the dizzy, drill the holes around it and cut the individual clamps out.

Much obliged sir,

It may be two weeks or so before I make it back. I appreciate the effort. !! MUD folks are the best. I may have something for you as well. I'm headed over to my storage Bld later in the week. I'll snap a photo...

OK, I got turned around today and had to head back to Preston Co. Not such a big deal except for the 100$ in petroI I burnt. So, I tried not to waste the remainder of the day. I started pulling the interior a few of days ago. Hit the aft section with some cleaner. Seems to still be holding up.

I still want to yank the jump seats and do a proper prep/paint.

Depending on how things play out I may do the Trans/T-case before the Sniper install. Again, no timeline or rush. The new distributer and GR starter gave the mule a new perspective. If I have a slot open up on the four post, I'm doing the mechanical transplant 1st. I've also enlisted (bribed w/copious amounts of cold snacks) a couple of my mechanically inclined "mates" to assist. I'll go ahead and pull the Trans hump in preparation.

I needed to put a new gasket on the carb/air cleaner. It seems moot with the FI coming up, but the old gasket was kaput, and I was not getting a good seal.

Everything's all buttoned up again. Waiting to see how things play out before I commit to a COA. Fact is, I can drive it now so, once again, the low and slow approach is in effect. We should be breaking spring soon and I want to keep the down time to a minimum.

I'm waiting on a FEDEX delivery from sunny southern Cali today, so I have some time to kill. The Mule was tomb encrusted with a very generous coating of dust, thistles and general debris. I cleaned out the floors yesterday so today, I hit some of the internals with some cleaner and a couple coats of wax. I told you I was bored.

This is not @Jdc1 or @GA Architect clean and spotless but, it's a sight better than it was. Sometimes a little elbow grease and Turtle wax goes along way.

I had some small flaking and surface rust on the winch plate and brush guard. A little light brushing, rust neutralizer and some touch up paint followed up with Turtle wax was in order. Told you I was bored.

The Mule is starting to come back around from intentional neglect and hopelessness to its usual, shabby around the edges, perfection...:rolleyes:

Still not driving but clean<going for a ride in a 40 today…..

Cleaned up the skid plate and painted a front engine hook. Trying to remember what I did with the rear hook? I'm sure it is buried in a box, tucked away in some forgotten corner of the storage bld, basement or Man Cave.

@Jdc1

What size "post filter" did you end up using on your HS Installation. Are you at 10 Microns??

The FEDEX man cometh.......

10 or 11 microns, whatever it takes. I’m having a hard time remembering. I followed the sniper directions pretty closely.

@Jdc1 - You happy now? :steer:👈😁👉:beer:

Took the Mule on a shakedown run this AM. All systems are a "go" except for temp gauge. Suspect it's the "New" sending unit. I have a spare on hand and a adapter inbound. Ordered a new clutch kit from @cruiseroutfit today so it should be waiting on me when I get back...Mucking out the stall this afternoon and buttoning up here for a few days. Expecting snow here this weekend so I'm going to bring in some firewood, crack a growler, kick my feet up and watch the fire die down.
