I have always heard that West Virginia is the land of "Hills, Whores, and Liquor Stores".

Well Sir, I do take particular umbrage with your obvious distortion of the facts and your overt acerbic acrimony toward the sons and daughters of the mountain state.

I can say with absolute certainty that there are only a handful of "Liquor Stores" in WV.

Is the Mule road ready yet?

It is in a manner of speaking. It sorta' just sat for a spell. I didn't add the carb until late fall. It still needs dialed in. Two short trips of about 20 miles or so is all I've managed. Having trouble with the bowl loading up. Have not tackled the tuning portion just yet.

Of all the the indictments thrown out concerning the "tech" applicability of my thread, there are some genuinely "serious" (chuckle ) reoccurring themes that resonate throughout this meandering and aimless wandering that is the "Face-lift. For the most part , this thread is inundated with "helpful, interesting or relevant issues":rofl::rofl::rofl:that are normally associated with restoring, operating and owning the venerable TLC Fj40. Unfortunately this is not one of them..

The most recent example of this nonsensical laissez-faire approach to the otherwise serious business of Toyota adoration, is the addition of my favorite "modification" to date...

The two (2) beverage drink holder (TBDH in technical terms) is often an overlooked and neglected piece of kit befitting the most regal of Barrett-Jackson offerings. The "TBDH" comes primed and painted in your choice of colors (as long as it's silver or black) and will, according to local legend, hold approximately two discerning beverages of your choice.

Unfortunately, I am unable to post up the individual pics documenting the installation. Often, in the midst of such a challenging and laborious procedure, it is difficult to pause for a visual affidavit.

The following pics represent the culmination of minutes of careful planning, conservative acquisition and skillful application of the TBDH.

28 sheckles out the door and delivered.....

Looks useful, but, did you use the proper JIS gold cad mounting bolts?

Is that the seat rail mounting bolt in the lower right of the last pic?

Yes, I believe it is. Stainless as I recall. Bad angle though, doesn't do it justice...

Just when I thought I was getting the hang of this.....

Better stoke the fire tonight, maybe stack an extra log or two beside the stove.

Gonna need it.

Who doesn't want gas dribbling over their exhaust manifold..? You've grown overly cautious in your old age.

I had my fuel pressure regulator piss all over a hot header and nothing happened ... your fine :)

When I see the wet around the throttle it reminds me of a bad cold ... the carb is not screwed ... it just has post nasal drip

A little tinkering and it will be good

Have you figured out the carb issue ? I knoticed your post the other day ... but... haven't followed up on how it's going?

No not yet. Just the Mule being passive aggressive..

Let me hook you up with some class 10.9 JIS Bolts for those locations so I can sleep better. Although if your seat rails are flying off, you probably have bigger problems.

Love following the build though.
