LOL Man it's just the camera...The ole mule is a tad "ruff around the edges"...BUT, that's OK with me. I kinda like the patina..Bits of sky blue poking through the Dune Beige, Grunge on the knuckles, rust in hidden places, etc etc etc etc etc etc....

Good/bad news is I have a long term hobby !!

Plumbing is buttoned up. I had to trim the water pump hose. All I had at the time was my Leatherman tool. Hose looks a bit ragged but I can trim it before I add coolant. I'll go through and make sure all the clamps are snug too.

Re-shot the jack and rods. Used a different paint with better results.

Re-connected the gas line an ran it under the air cleaner. Hard lines were long gone when I bought it. Should be ready to start in the next day or so..

Alternator re-mounted.

Picked-up a couple of "Lucas" products for use prior to starting the mule and a little "PB" for use prior to the OME spring installation.

Swapped out the battery cables.

New V-Belt installed. Old belt is still in "good spare shape" and will go in the kit bag.

Charcoal canister remounted. All these last few jobs are :banana: at best. But seem to take up more time. Makes me almost yearn for the heady days of bed-liner removal....:beer:

Waiting on the rear heater core. I quit moaning and plopped down the ridiculous asking price. Ah, who needs two kidneys anyway. Should be here the 1st of next week..

So, it seems that the doors are open and I'm on the the "jump run" (RE: :steer: start -up the FSP) Right @JohnnyC? ...

Good to keep the spare that's for sure... And you were wise to keep the 'cover' ... Good to have that handy for the next time

I remember going with my father to the parts store and them pulling the new one off the wall with a long pole... No markings ... No cover just a belt... I was impressed he pulled the exact size first shot... When parts guys were good at their job... Now they are only as good as the computer they turn on :)

Passenger fender apron loosely attached. I'll go in and spend some time lining all the panels up and tightening everything a little at a time. Almost looks like a TLC again..

But you'll have to slow down you don't want to run out of work, oops...sorry I forgot, it's a 40 you'll never run out of work to do on it!:hillbilly:

When I was a kid I remember watching a documentary on the Golden gate bridge. The painters would start on one end and paint. When they reached the other end it was time to turn around and start again. I get it now...
