Again, knocking out some easy driveway projects. CCOT bolt on tailgate. Tossed it on to check fitment. Adjusted the spare tire carrier for a snug fit. It’s on temporary. It passes sturdy test and is powder coated. Should work out good for summer driving. I’m swapping out the 7/16 fasteners for some 10mm tomorrow. Need to pick up some closed cell foam/rubber etc etc to make a couple of gaskets for the flanges.

Still need to mount the “topless” license plate bracket.

Sorry for a negative comment, but with this kind of perfect resto you are doing , the ccot rear pannel is not acceptable , a 40 factory tailgate or door is a big part of the look we like so much 😏

Brother Land…It was a “refreshto mod”. 🙄

Tailgate panel is a temp fix…More to come on the saga of 2.0.

Pretty sure these items were stock when purchasing a TLC. Maybe a dealer installed option? Anyway, they’re both resting comfortably in the glove box…😁

Ooh ooh, just now remembered my rig's got it's own song too!

Yeah, I'm of a certain age all right... ;)

Girded my loins and made the trip to the County Sheriffs Office and the DMV. $700 drakmars later I walked out with most of my dignity intact. Not so much on the check book… Never could quite fathom the entire taxation for the privilege of driving a previously taxed when purchased vehicle. That’s fodder for another forum and I digress.

Fresh set of plates mounted. That’s a “Go” on the preflight checklist. ✔️

Upped the ante today, hit a ten mile (+ or -) road trip, culminating in a 3 mile stretch of interstate. Apparently turning 2k on the Tach-o indicates I’m screaming along at 140mph. Speedo cable didn’t read the OPORD..it’s on the punch list..

Front end is a tad out of alignment. Not horrible but telling. I’ve got a date with the a shop Tuesday AM for an inspection and I’ll make arrangements for a FEA then…It’s on the punch list.

So digging into the happy thoughts bag, I did receive one of my JSeat mount adapters. Mounted up the port side for a sanity check. I think I’m going to run with it. Took the belt out of that obnoxious bend IMHO. I have the 3pt mounting hardware in USPS world somewhere. Not real impressed with them lately and that’s a whole story In itself. :cautious:

@Homey15

Beverage modulators are functioning. Full on test drive is forthcoming. Never leave home without em’.

So, again working driveway projects.

This never did appeal to my sense of balance. Trans hump is not the same as a stocker. This is going to work until I get back down to JRx2 upholstery shop. I have an image in my tiny little head for a TCase boot based on what I have to work with.

We added the 60 TCase shift knob. I like it…but, it needs a little something, something to make that whole shifter look like it was meant to be.

I’ve got a plan…😉
