I tend to overdo things. Always be prepared for whatever is trying to get in or make sure they can't get out. Good eye, 8x8 posts with 4x6 cross members. I do know that was some heavy lumber.

Gary - lucky for us, you don't keep many for very long! Always welcome to stop by and visit and I know I'll be anxious to go for a few rides when it's done. We know the way to Brockton.
 
Snow in the northeast is beautiful but does hamper PIG progress at some level. A few pics to highlight.

Broke out the inventory to see what we have in rubber? Missed the SLOCRUISER combo packs. Another case of if you see it, get it. Waited too long. Did pick some of his individual pieces along with parts from other suppliers. I think we have everything other than the rear fixed window gaskets. As I mentioned earlier I did buy some fixed window gaskets from Steele Rubber and hope they'll work with some modifications. It's expensive but we do have a plan. Update on that to follow later.

Here's a picture of the fender welting on a VW Beetle fender for reference (the black "bead"). From the above link, the flat part goes down between the body panels and all you see the the "bead" at the end.

The anticipation of putting the PIG back together provides further motivation. There still is some paint work to do, interior cargo areas and bumpers. Once again we're mixing up the sequence to keep it fresh.

As are most, worried about putting the tailgate back to together and crossing my fingers that it works! Happy to report all is well. It's working.

Went with the DYNAMAT for sound and heat insulation in the front. Bought the best stuff they offer. Don't really have any experience with this? It's been around awhile and from what I can tell is used frequently.

Maybe a regret? Future rusting issues? Used rust treatment and primer prior to installation.

Is the matting in the rear cargo area factory? Or from a previous owner?
