I recall seeing that, thanks for the information. I am putting in the 4 spd but keeping all the 5spd parts for my son to install if he wants in the future after I'm dead. Since I retired it does not get driven much so the 4 spd is ok.

I also have a 2f and a 1fzfe in storage for future options.

I took a couple steps back this weekend. The 3fe had an oil leak in the front I could not find. I removed the HB and found the problem. Now waiting on parts.

CruiserTeq is a go to for parts. I have tried to spread out the parts on this truck from Kurt to citiracer, vintageteqparts, cruiser corps, cruisermatt, and others. All excellent suppliers. Ourisman Toyota in Richmond is a great dealer part source.

edit..CCOT for rear quarters, A+

rear axle brake lines, didn't come out too bad, I used zinc plated steel tube. The tools I bought worked great. I also torqued the axle U-bolts today, that was a job.

These are the rear motor mount bolts I got from @ToyotaMatt. The original bolts had two holes 90 degrees apart for the cotter pins. I only had to drill one hole for the time being. Very good quality hardware.

Looks great. Be careful with those rear lines, it looks like the lines might get crushed by the bump stops. I like to run steel lines on the axles too.

Thankfully the tubing doesn't cost too much.

Received new harmonic balancer. Installed new front seal. Waiting for some stuff to return from the zinc plater.

New exhaust manifold studs

Radiator support, this is the wider factory AC version, those brackets are for the AC condenser.

Power steering tubes, the pressure side is on top and the return is underneath, held together with the same two bolts. I got the clips from ebay, 3/4" wide with rubber cushion.

Fixed a buddies mom's garage door opener logic board, bad cap in the power supply.

I am trying to confirm this is the correct heater for a 10/72 FJ40, can someone confirm? Thanks.

My 73 also has the same heater, the VIN date is 9/72. Mine is black and still has factory stamps on the back so it doesn’t appear to have been repainted.
