Finally finished my back yard project so I got to spend some time spraying the frame black. Rustoleum semi gloss.

Did you get to try out the Vibrant 1117?

Yes. Packaging was nice and easy but it is definitely loud - however this was an F engine with SOR headers. 3FE with its iron manifolds may be quieter. We are going to be adding either a resonator or second muffler after the H55f goes in.

I've been making slow progress on the axles. New rear bearings and seals in, working on painting a bunch of stuff black.
I have to get some bits zinc plated and some bits chrome plated, any recomendations for a good plating co that does small jobs like this?

Made some progress

Calipers painted and cured, VHT silver, still need to rebuild

My intent was to clean up and paint the steering links but after really looking at them they were pretty bent up so decided to get new ones. Also ordered the shocks and steering stabilizer. I found the shocks on sale at Walmart web site and saved about $50. They are normally $110/ea but they were on Walmart for $96 and change.

The angle of the back diff looks a lot more angled up compared to the front diff. More weight going on the front. Think it will level out? Right now looks like you need anti inversion shackles on the back.

Decided on this muffler, it is 5" diameter specified for the 1960's chevy C10 pickups.

After first reading about, then subsequently becoming terrified of the oil galley plug, I was delighted to discover the PO had done the fix sometime between 1981 and 1992 (when it was last registered) I would guess.

peace of mind is valuable.
