Are there options for the w/s wiper motor? I seem to remember buckroseau's being small and under the dash. Mine is huge and sticks through the firewall. My problem is the 1FZ is within about 1/4" of the motor with the spark plug cover off. I don't think it'll fit back on. I had to jack up the body to get the motor in. I think I'll have to do it again to get the spark plug wire back on #6.

One out of a wagon or 55 perhaps? Pic of what your working with toyota stuff is pretty interchangeable

mine is on the cab side as are all stock lv's. granted mine came with two seperate motors from a 50's chevy not sure why they were swapped out. anyway your linkage should all be under the dash.I swapped in a fj62 motor and a fj47 switch and have variable speed wipers and intermittent as well attachedto my stock linkage. I have pics ofit all in my build thread someplace.

Original owner installed that motor back in the 70's, I believe it was a gm car wiper motor, cant remember, its almost been 20 years!!! Rig is comming together nice!

yikes.

It's way worse than the pics. It's a mess. So far I've pulled up the connector views and printed them, then pulled up the diagrams for a system and matched the labeled connectors to a system, then cut out what I don't want.

It's moving along, but it's tedious. I have a 4x8 sheet of plywood to string the harness out on once I get it down to what I want so I can tie it into the 64 harness and switches.

FOrtunately the engine and trans harnesses are pretty self contained. Why the trans shift module is on the left kick panel and the ECM is on the right I have no idea.

To be honest, it really depends on what you're keeping. If you're keeping the steering column from the 80, then you would keep the cruise control, maybe the air bag, the signals, the wipers, the lights and a bunch of stuff. I'm not. In fact I'm getting rid of just about everything that doesn't make it run.

The top harness is what's still left of the underdash harness for the 1FZ

The bottom harness, mostly in black, is most of the entire harness for the LV

All I gotta do is put them together.
