Yeah now lack of sleep due to your 2UZ build.. Lol, or I can just save the 2J for the GS.. I have so much on my plate, got a Subie wagon swapped and now getting a fully built motor..

Post a pic of that GS when you are done

Why not just turbo the 1fz? It is plenty capable of handling boost in stock form and will make a much better torque curve for a heavy landcruiser with much less hassle. You just need a custom exhaust manifold or adapter to mount the turbo along downpipe, ecu, etc...

Thread jack foo, is that a new style ARB on your 80?

Where can I get the exhaust manifold?? I'm also starting to look for a fair price 1HDT...

That bumper is Iron Man

I think landtank has been working on a cast iron turbo manifold. And of that doesn't work out we can make one for you.

Why not do a high compression F/I build?? back in my sr20 days, people were always doing this for solo cars... 9.5:1 - 10:1 compression and little bbt28's... obviously a smaller turbo on the 2j would be much bigger... but those little guys had no lag!! 1 turbo = less heat = less = plumbing = less complication

Edit: or as above, a turbo 1fz would be fun too... just less novel ;)

Toyota Land Cruiser Turbo Manifold- TREADSTONE PERFORMANCE

You can get the Treadstone manifold relatively cheap. I know Jeff in Davis CA was selling one on the classifieds even cheaper. You can search under Photoman's user name and get part numbers for the air-to-air intercooler & transmission cooler. I used a RX-7 oil cooler which worked well. Given what you've done with Supras, once you have the manifold it should be straight forward.

Wow.. Thanks... That's great price.. You guys burn holes in my pocket.. My wife will kill me soon.. Today I ordered my gt35r for my Subie and Sean is finalizing my rear bumper.. Now this.. Then a turbo, wastegate, down pipe, injectors??, and ecu?? I will be in the dog house this summer

I always find that randomly showing up at the house with food, flowers, or clothes on occasions of big spending (on my rigs) is usually a more worthy investment than the parts i bought for the truck....

hello all

a bit of thread hijacking but its relevant and might help me and any futre cack head.

so here is the thing, bj60 with desert rally in mind.

the plan
-80 series front suspension for coil overs
-2jjz twin turbo for power, have to be less than 3 liter for the category

problem
which transmission to use, had h151f in mind, but which clutch to use and thought of auto so a442f or a343F? ever done before ?
