Looking good Mike. Do you have a day in mind yet for the reinstall?

Looking good!

Thanks guys! Saddletramp, i'll probably be a couple weekends out on the re-install. I'm still haven't ordered new rubber parts. I also am thinking of modding the oil pan with a different oil plug. Plus, I gotta paint.

Yep, we need more tech here.:frown: Did you freeze the pistons or put ice in the cylinders to keep the beers chilled?

Can someone bring their 2F FSM to the meet Friday, mine is missing the page that shows or explains the cylinder leak test show in the last picture or the keyway insertion step.

Mike, I am thinking we will need the part number of that special service tool so Jackson can order one for his collection.

special tools

Saddletramp...there were definitely some special tools required for that step.

I have the 2f manual and flipped through it multiple times and i still can't quite figure out where the SNORKEL attaches?????

I'm wondering if it goes in one of the big holes on the side of the block I marked in the picture below??????:D

That will work as well as anywhere else. Really, what could possibly go wrong? :hillbilly:

Can't see any reason it wouldn't work. Just weld the radiator cap shut. Figure the pressure you want the coolant to run at. Right size pipe with correct lenght to to give you right feet of head to match pressures and your set. Leave the top open then in between rains just top off with antifreeze. In fact I'm sure they must be doing this somewhere. It explains why I read threads where people say their heater coils are plugged with mud.:meh:

Great tech! If you put a big scoop on the end, it will increase system pressure by ram air effect. The faster you go, the higher the pressure, perfect! :hillbilly:

Now if you really want to get fancy you could make it adjustable from in the cab. If you point it straght up the air rushing across the opening would cause lift which would reduce the pressure. You could monitor the pressure with a gauge if the temperature starts to raise you just lower opening forward increasing pressure which of course would raise the boiling point. Can't wait to see this in operation Mike:rolleyes:

:hhmm: snorkel gauge

what units would it read in  1 ghey, 2 ghey, 3 ghey
