Last night my boys told the lady at the desk our tale of woe.
She's still here this morning, and at breakfast came over to give the boys each a hug and tell me they are comping the stay.

Jim - The adventures with the boys will be stuff they always remember - kudos to you for getting out and adventuring with them, regardless of the outcome 
Back home safe and sound.
I have some muscle coming by this evening to help push it into the garage.
Until then, I shall console myself with what was to be my Dirty Santa gift.

They watch a lot of Roadkill. Between that and our trips (pig cooker tire, 4Runner axle, 4Runner tranny, BJ exhaust, and now this) I suspect they just think a road trip is about getting as far from home as possible then breaking down.

Thanks to all who made yesterday happen! My first ONSC Christmas Party was a blast! So good to meet folks and put a name and face with a MUD handle! @JohnVee, thanks for coordinating the food and Chili Cook off....I got one small spoonful of your Blue Ribbon dish that I had to scrape from the side and it was delish! I don't think i got to meet everyone but will look forward to future events, etc.
I do have to say that finally seeing Biscuit out and about after following it's thread brought a smile to my face....almost as much as @jamesurq getting to keep his dirty santa gift!
@Izzyandsue where did you go? Realized on drive home that i met you in the afternoon but you weren't around for dinner and after.....next time!

Jeff, I was on borrowed time, my wife had a "dinner party" I had to come home, shower, put suit on, etc. All I could do was the workday and run home, but it was worth it. Who won the chili contest?
We are eating the Chile Verde I had meant for the party tonight for dinner 
On the up side two things:
1. I didn't actually have to work over the weekend although the threat was there until Noon yesterday.
2. I got to see my Son sing his A Capella solo again last night at NC State - I really hope he goes there
Missed seeing everyone and splitting wood and working on the trails.

Great time again this year! Thanks everyone for the great food and thank you Kenny and Lydia for allowing us to hold the event at The Barn!
