So many thank you's and so little time. First and foremost to the Monk's for their hospitality. There is not a better or more welcoming venue for a group of friends and family to come together for fellowship than the barn. Absolutely love it there. Although I think the chili cook off might have punished the horton house a little. Thanks to all those that helped put together a fantastic chili cook off and pot luck. Everything was wonderful. Thanks to those that put some time on the trails cleaning up after the litter bug heathens. Thanks to those that pitched in on the woodcutting. We really cut a metric s*** ton of wood. Yes that's a valid technical measurement.

This was probably the best Dirty Santa we've had yet. From the beginning to the end I don't think I recall as much interaction between folks and hilarious laughter. Good sport award goes to Curt as I don't think I've seen anyone get stolen from so much in one event. lol. Was so nice seeing some old faces and getting to know some of the newer ones a little better. Thanks to those day trippers that came out to enjoy each others company knowing they had a haul to get home. Not sure what else to say but you guys are awesome and looking forward to the M&G.

I'm glad Kenny Monk is enjoying his Black 8" Adult Toy he won. He was running around showing it off to everyone.

Yeah, Eric. This was by far the largest and most traded Dirty Santa yet. The values of some of the prizes were staggering. What happened to the $20 limit??? And it was very cool of Stan and Heather to give the Yeti Roadie 20 that they won at Meet & Greet 2015 Raffle (bought $20 of tickets, so technically this met the limit!).

I won the chili cook off  and I appreciate all the nice comments about my food. I also appreciate all the other comments about my food. It was great to see 11 people step up and bring an entry. I didn't try them all, but there wasn't a bad one in the mix that I sampled. And, it was no surprise that the ham had little left at the end of the night, even with all the chili and the dozens of burgers and dogs. We'll try for a an easier food line layout next year but it's difficult to plan when you have no idea who's bring what. I apologize to everyone for the confusion although it was nice to see a chili pot everywhere you looked! Congrats to Jason Free for solving the mystery of his unplugged crockpot and still getting hot food out in time.

I got to talk at length to a lot of folks that I usually don't. Good times. Sarah, of course, got in about 15 hours sleep between Friday night and Saturday evening, but I guarantee you, she WAS there! I feel really good about ending 2016 with the event we just had. Happy :candycane::candycane::candycane: to all, and see you next year.

Heather and I had a great time at the Barn. I agree that this year's Dirty Santa was the most engaging and entertaining to date. Curt certainly wins the "good spirit" award, there for a while he was trading up pretty well.

As always, it was good to re connect with folks that we do not get to see as often as we would like. It was cool to see Biscuit make an appearance, we all know James has a good sense of humor and can take some ribbing but he sure paid his dues on that one. We missed Jim and the boys, something tells me they will be big fans of electric cars.

John V, thank you so much for all your efforts, culinary being in the forefront. Congrats on winning the cook off!

The biggest thanks goes to our wonderful hosts, Kenny and Lydia. Time and time again they give of themselves so that ONSC has a place to call "home". That is what it feels like every time we pull in the drive, like a home coming of sorts.

So sad that we missed this. We'll catch everyone at the M&G. Merry Christmas everyone!

I can't add much to this string that hasn't already been said. As John stated during the campfire at Logan's Run, the ONSC community is like family and I agree 100%. It must be lovers of LandCruisers have special DNA. The Dirty Santa exchange will be in my memory bank forever. I have not laughed that hard in a long time. Though I had 3 gifts stolen, I ended up with a SOG duffle bag that will be put to good use. Thank you to the person that brought that gift because I love it! The food was delicious and plenty to go around and around and around. Danielle and I would like to thank everyone involved (a club effort) because we both had an amazing time. I'm still working on names and faces but that will come with time. If you're ever in the URE area or on the trails, send me a PM and I would love to join you or have you over to the homestead. Kenny taught me how to find my PM's. I didn't know about that little inbox in the top right corner :)

See ya at the M&G.
Kurt

Great to see everyone and finally get to drive Biscuit to an event. Good times were had with all. I will enjoy my ill gotten electric impact wrench for years to come. Lots of hard work on the trail digging out and draining standing water and picking up trash. Some interesting finds: big bag of clothing, For sale sign complete with brochures, a reasonably full airhorn, and more natural lite and bud lite cans than I can remember seeing. I have a theory... If you drink a brand of beer that has the word "lite" on it you are 80% more likely to throw that can out of your truck while driving down gravel roads. Those limited few that chose to partake in my steak and bacon 'boosted' chili - my apologies for the burn you might be feeling today...It was a little hotter than I had anticipated.

Also, note to self: tent camping that close to the fire pit area with a group of people that don't really 'do' background music = snoring jokes the next morning :)

See you all at the meet and greet. You'll find my tent 100 yards down the path by the second barn on the tent pad by the creek :) AKA the loud music and snoring section...

Had an absolute blast :D I love organizing the M&G and the XMas party events because they're so easy compared to Logan's Run, in large part because @alk747triodad and family allow us to use the barn. Thank you Kenny, we love the barn and I don't know what we'd do if we weren't able to use the barn anymore.

@JohnVee thank you for organizing the chili cook-off and picking up the extras!! Congrats on winning the cook-off, but I'm going to give you a run for your money next year

The raffle went well and initial money counts indicated that we took in through raffle ticket sales just a little bit more than we spent on the fridge, so that worked out perfectly. Thank you @Fort Knox and @forrest5000 for helping/managing ticket sales and keeping track of who's membership was current! I'm honored to have won and can't wait to redesign my drawer system to permanently mount that sucker :D

The work day was excellent and we got a bunch done. We didn't get a chance to go over to dickie bell but we did clean up 576 and wolf's den!

This club wouldn't exist were it not for the incredible members and this event proved that to be true once again. The Dirty Santa was an absolute riot, responsible fires were had and despite some mechanical issues, we got everyone home safe and sound!! It's an honor to serve the membership of this club as president and I hope to continue doing it!

Keep an eye out for the BOD nominations thread that'll be posted tomorrow.

The crazy thing is the number of people who drove up 3-4 hours to hang out for dinner before driving back home! That should make all of us feel a little special for being worthy of that kind of seat time.

Had a great time. Sorry I had to leave early, but got sick didn't want to pass it along.

Short and sweet: You guys/gals are amazing! Like another family. Tandy and i LOVED the time we got to spend at the barn and wish we could have gotten there earlier to help with the workday. I will be on the lookout for more jacks and such.

Shoot me a text if you need somethong specific.

Great Christmas party everyone!

Lydia and I had a wonderful time seeing old friends and meeting new members. Thanks to everyone for pitching in and helping do what needs to be done to make this event one of the best yet. Congrats to Johnny for winning the fridge and to John V for kicking butt in the chili cook off. You guys put so much hard work in for the club that it's rightly deserved. Everyone above said it all, so until the Meet and Greet, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.

I was hoping to see more pics posted so....post them up everyone. Here is a few I took.
