Yeah, joking. I know you are well familiar. Would have been a good investment to sit on one for a year and sell at prices they were pulling in a year or two ago.

but, one could argue investment in exploration yields a better return. 😂

Yo, @residualboulders
I have a '20 HE and the wife hates climbing into it with no step. Did you get your side steps from someone who removed theirs from a non-HE or elsewhere?

I put dissent slider steps on my HE. Wife is a big fan now.

Don't tease me with that sold out stuff! LOL. (They are producing another batch. Hopefully I can snag one late summer.)
Thanks!

Any other suggestions out there appreciated. Or someone who took theirs off....

I have my OEM running boards. Taken off a few weeks ago.

Great photo. That GX looks small next to the LCs.

For whatever reason all the new TNGA-F trucks have laughable ground clearance, like 8" of ground clearance. Less than a Subaru Crosstrek.

That’s because according to Toyota, consumers want better ride comfort and almost no usable increase in available payload.

Yeah, my wife needed a step too. I have Slee Slidersteps. Lighting kit to light up the ground when the door is open. I really like them. Ended up buying a set for my tundra too.

Yeah the numbers are embarrassing. I think the LC250/GX550 have a ground clearance of 7.9 or 8.0" whereas a Crosstrek has a ground clearance of 8.7".

GX 550: 8.66"
LC250: 8.7"
LC200: 8.85"
LC300: 9"

This!!!

The GX550 measures within a few mm of my 21HE200 and that is with the 9.5" diff they share. The smaller diff of the LC250 coupled by a slightly larger (something it should have had) tire, will beat the LC200 by a good amount.

Toyota is measuring from the bottom of the differential to the ground. The only thing that can make a higher number is tires (easy and common) or a smaller differential. I'm not sure what the big deal is there.

Don't forget portals. :)

Also multiple articles claim the GX550 OT has 8.9" of ground clearance.
