question for those of you that have installed:

did you need air tools to make it happen or was a breaker bar and plain wrench/sockets ok? it's a california truck so i don't fear rust as much, but will be blasting with PB before hand.

It could be done with hand tools but I would say at least 8hrs. to get it done. My truck was fresh from TX with little rust, the hardest part was getting the shackles out and the frame pins. The air tools make it a lot faster for the wheels and Ubolts. I even had to cut the old front shocks off with a sawsall.

Anyone else receive springs labeled with BDS logo?

Repost of mine from 'missing ironman suspension?' thread, but I thought here might be more appropriate place to ask.

Part numbers received:
Front springs 008262
Rear Drivers side 008267
Rear passenger side 008266

Thanks Rockyklg - odd inconsistencies on these kits, but yours are the pictures that pushed me over the edge, already have the CCOT shackles to add to the kit as well.

just checked and i've got similar part numbers. checked the ironman site and they don't match, but the BDS site doesn't seem to have them listed either. would seem that they are just weird numbers or retired stock from BDS.

i've written the seller to see what they say. for the price, i still can't complain really, but i can file a report with paypal for false advertising. i just hate liars.

i had to file a paypal complaint to get her to write me back after 18 days of no product or tracking number. i'm just crossing my fingers these aren't some fake chinese product.

mine are marked BDS with the same numbers as the others.

I've seriously been considering this lift, and have been doing some research. I found some old posts on mud from a year or two ago that said ironman actually made BDS springs and imported them from Canada.

According to the Ironman website, they have a distributor in Canada so maybe that is the one.

Ironman springs for the BJ60

I have seen there has been alot of talk about the springs for the FJ60 so what about anyone here that has installed them on their BJ60? The seller stated that I might need a heavier set but not sure what to believe. Anyone here installed them on there diesel cruiser and can give a comparison opinion over OEM? I love the price and finally can afford a set to replace my flat springs.

Recieved mine last week. Opened tonight. Correct part numbers with the BDS stickers. Also see that the price was dropped to $450, and other parts to $25.

hhhmmm....

what are the prices for the Iron man Lifts? and shipping? different price for B or C leaf springs?

this is the response i got back when pressed for an explanation for the weird numbers on the springs not matching Ironman or BDS' numbering schemes:

"I can guarantee that these are Ironman kits. From what I understand, Ironman Suspension was working with a US suspension company on a joint venture and the deal fell through. The Ironman systems were all numbered different for US distribution. That is why the numbers do not match their web site. The decision was made to liquidate the inventory and we are a liquidation warehouse - so there you go. I do know for a fact that this is all Ironman product."

These are some shots of flex after the lift. I am adding a shackle reversal soon and longer rear shackles.

sorry, i have exeeded my upload limit....dumb

Does the drivers spring part number end in 66 or 67?

I set them next to each other and grabbed the taller one, but it doesn't match my post from last time I checked this.

They're hanging from the spring hangers (not shackles yet) and I hoping someone can confirm before I remove them to double check.

THANKS!!!
