Unfortunately, I have them hanging already and I'm concerned that my taller 'test' may have been incorrect last night late and in a hurry. Hoping I can confirm the part number instead of taking them back off to confirm. Just being lazy and hoping someone can verify, I'll take them off this afternoon if necessary.

Anytime. If you could, post a picture when you are done. Thanks!

Hope it was US drivers side, cause it's all bolted up now... :)

Thanks again for checking exrsa1, pics to follow before and after still driveway posing.

Looking good. How much overall lift did you get with the lift. I realize you have +1.5 shackles too. Did you have to shim the axles any for vibration, due to the shackles? What size wheels are on there now? Stock?

I started mine last night. Went smooth till I got to the spring pin. Amazing how that can be so solid in those old bushings. With some brute force and a gallon of penetrating oil, an hour later it finally gave. Hopefully finish tonight, but not if every spring is going to give me such a hard time. I was 'this close' to getting the torches out.

Thanks
Brian

Thanks! Roughly 2" up front and 4" in the rear. Have exact measurements but not by memory, I'll try and post those later today.

Spring pins were my biggest trouble spot as well, and I did torch out the old bushings. Fastest way for me was to work on the lip of the outermost bushing first and pick it away with a screw driver. Once that was gone, one good whack at it from the inside and there would be a space between spring pin outer plate and outside of the frame that I could fit a pry bar into. Then heat / melt 'em for a while and pry, repeat until it breaks loose. Still a tough pull through there though.

Stock rims & 31x10.5 BFG A/Ts on it now. I wanted to check measurements for the lift itself. 33x12.5 Dunlop mud rovers on 15x8s are going on soon.

Use caution when putting the small bolt in that holds the spring plate from rotating, it's an easy one to break the bolt on.

I just finished installing my iron man setup recently on my 62, The ride seems a little weird. It seems smoother at times, but actually alot rougher than stock.

Was wondering what your opinions were on the ride quality?
Anyone else getting the squishy shock sound when going over speed bumps?

Lift amounts by corner...

Left Front: 2 3/8" total lift
Right Front: 2 1/4" total lift
Left Rear: 4 7/8" total lift
Right Rear: 4 1/2" total lift

Random, but minor differences...

Ride quality for me is similar to the stock (Some increased back end bounce but not much). A little more bump steer, probably due to the shackles.

Do any of you guys have an ARB+winch with the Iron lift? I am the new owner of an 87' 60 that came with the iron lift. It does sit up alittle high in the back,
but the ride is ok. I want to add an ARB and Warn xd9000. I'm worried the front end will go down further, giving it too much rake. If it stayed put where it is now, I'd be fine with it. I went through this last year with my Tacoma. Ended up putting $$$Donahoe coilovers on to bring the Taco up. I don't feel like
dropping $1400 for a new OME setup at this time...Thanks-Jeff

I don't have an arb or winch yet but, i fixed my ass high ironman with the shackle reversal. it actually brought the front up about a 1/2" higher than the back now, i'm going to trim out the back with longer shackles. hopefully this gives you another option.

i have a warn 8274 on a winch plate and a hilift jack up front. and you can see the pics of my truck earlier in this thread. i personally like a little rake especially since i load it a bit. i dont know how much heavier the arb bumper set up you're looking at is but i think it would be pretty easy to level out with shackles if you dont like the look after you add it. HTH GL

ps you could also add a nice rear bumper with some nato cans and a spare carrier to level it ;)

Thanks, I just read the lengthly info at MAF's site on the shackle reversal.
The ARB+winch combo weighs about 150lbs. This may be just what I need...

I love the pics...anyone else have some pics of there before and after?

Here is my before and after.

happy,

This is with a 2" Ironman, MAF shackle reversal, stock shackles in the rear. I'm going to add 2 1/2" shackles in the rear, and hopefully put on my new longer shocks this weekend so I don't have to drive around with out any. Then, I hope to put 34x9.50 Super Swampers on it for the trail, with 33x10.50 all terrain highway tires. I will try to afford to gear it down to 4:56's at the same time
