That's good stuff to know. I called the acc.liquidator folks from ebay. They are sending the rear bushings that they left out in my kit. So I haven't seen that they are too large. I was forwarned though from them. Is it possible to use a sleeve? I'll have more info when they arrive. Thanks for the update though and look forward to your report on the energy susp. bushings.

Good luck.

You'll need energy suspension bushings, part # 9.8142G. Should cost you under
$20 shipped for two boxes (come 4 to a box).

Since I had to use the Energy Suspension bushings to make the shocks fit, I noticed that they are flat on the outside wheras the washers are concave.

Question is: did you flatten out your old shock washers before reusing them or are they supposed to be shaped that way? Thnx!

man i think i got 2 left front shakles instead of a right and a left
or are they both supposed to be the same?
i know the the tab is supposed to go in, top and facing back
so i had to put the tab facing front on the right side.

That seems to be what they ship. Mine was the same, and my buddie's too. We pressed them out and switched them over to the other side.

Mine were opposite.

If your springs are delivered to shippers wherehouse

When I picked mine up the forklift put the pallet fit in the back of the wagon ever so tight. It was just enough to sqeeze between the wheel well.

BTW I have 8 leafs on each front of my spring. What do you BJ-60 owners have on your fronts?

I ordered the 2 inch rear ironmans, front shakles ,and front shocks. got all that plus 2 extra shakles?? so the question is will they work on the rear. they are 3inches pin-pin and 3-1/4 wide. that 1inch shorter than the stock rear shakles

ohh well at least the lift was inexpensive, i guess i will
pressed them out and switched them over .

great idea exrsa1!!!!!

Hi folks, was going to sell and distribute this kit but was kinda leary.

Owner of the company was suspose to come see me a year ago after SEMA, never did happen.

Would of happily carried the kit with good feedback, sounds like the kit was a hit?

Nice!!! It really look's great with the lift, seems like your cruiser have a new life.

How did you feel the ride?

thanks!!! well the stock springs wern't bad so it rides the same, but a little more bouncy!

The ox,

Yea mine is also bouncy. At least its not a upward thrust when I hit the trails. BTW my springs are now starting to soften out 3 months after installation. I also have one two many leafs so might take some out. Yea that is about the right ride height above the ground. What model truck do you own?

Well I got my Ironman/BDS hybrid lift put on lastnight, and It is a much smoother ride as I was pretty much riding on the bumpstops. One of the rear springs was bent in two places, and the front passenger side was the only pack that didn't have a broken leaf. I only have one concern. The rear Ironman springs gave me a vertical shackle, and when one flexes upward (the little that it can right now being new) the other shackle seems to invert a little bit, it does go back to vertical when sitting flat but I don't want to cause any major problems either. Should I remove a leaf or just put a bunch of weight in the back until they settle? I already have 200 lbs or so worth of stereo, cooler and drivetrain fluids back there at all times and it still doesn't seem to help at all, not even with a full tank of gas. Did anyone else have this problem? Ox mine looks almost identical to yours, atleast on the driver side lol, the pass. side looks like it got broadsided by a tank.

yeah it dose look alot like your rig, mine was t-boned somtime in its life on the passenger side, the PO did a crappy repair job and the doors dont close right and the paint dont match either, some shop wants to charge me $800 to get all the dents and rust out and fix the doors.

Got mine all done, but didn't have pics at the time, I took this with my cameraphone so it's kind of crappy, I'll post better pics when I get my real camera located. It was blue/primer but I decided to paint it since it was faded down to primer most of the way anyway. If you don't like lifted POS 60's than don't look at this picture, especially if you don't like "custom Krylon" paintjobs either. I personally think this particular truck deserved an olive drab paintjob though due to the fact that it's not nice enough to get a real paint job on (especially considering I'm gonna dent the crap out of it anyway).

Another, I think I'm gonna take out the overloads because they seem to be severely limiting flex. Has anyone else already done this? Or do they break in after a little while?

I removed the long leaf (3rd down from the top), from both frt & rear packs. It was so stiff before, that I could jump my skinny self up & down on the bumper and the truck did not move. Every little crack in the pavement came through the springs.

Now, with the unneccessary main leaves removed, and all leaves painted w/ Slip-Plate, when I jump on the corner, the truck will actually roll and bounce. Haven't driven it yet, but it is undoubtedly going to ride & twist better.:D

I may give that a shot, my front springs are 2.5 inch BDS and they actually flex quite well (within 1/2 inch of the bumpstops), but the rear Ironman 2 inch (more like 4 inch) springs are a little too stiff.
