@Vae Victus Thank you for the support. These weatherstrippings are bread and butter part of the business. I don't think you will miss OEM.

Adoption of EPS is gaining good momentum. Stock is good because the market is growing. Half a dozen of these kits have gone to Japan. It takes something special for Land Cruiser gear to get sold to the motherland!

Scott it is great to see the momentum building. Keep up the good work and you will be back in the saddle soon.

X2 on @Coolerman's work. He has already completed my rear harness and is currently reworking the front with a Dakota Digital Dash upgrade.

Glad to hear it was just an illusion.

You and Rainman make some nice bends. I wonder if that talent is teachable, maybe I could take a couple of classes??:hmm::hmm:
Heck, he'll sell you the entire business. He has all the jigs, all the layouts, a website, the tools.... Just needs someone who has the passion to take the time to make the kits, and do some customization for folks.

I told him to mark it up to $500 per kit and just make them for those who were willing to pay that. He's too busy with his other work to do it. Just doesn't have the time. Being 20 minutes from your house, he could teach you in about 6 hours to do all the work, understand all the model year differences, and show you the website, etc - enough to get you started anyway.

Coolerman's harness is one of my favorite things that I have received for my rebuild. You won't be disappointed.

Sounds like I'm getting in line at just the right time!

Myea kinda. Body shop at the auto college said they would do it for the training. They have a good shop, 1000 students, and a long line of classic and late model cars being painted daily.

I just gotta finish the body work. Delay, delay, delay.

Don't ever add it up :D

I remember when I pulled the Clustertruck out of some guy's driveway (dead) and had it delivered to me in Delaware. I was 100% convinced that I could have the truck 100% finished for a total of $15,000 (including the price I bought it for). Well, $15,000 will soon have come and gone, (not even including all of the tooling I've had to buy) and I still haven't even started bodywork...

When you factor in tools - I'm not even really sure where to start. When I bought the truck I owned socket wrenches, and flat wrenches...everything else has been bought along the way for this project...including renovating the garage...

I too am keeping a running talley. I'll be a hair over $15k once I complete the engine re-transplant, (without a full rebuild on any driveline components) and the new "final estimate" to get it where I want is in the high $20's, and keeps climbing ;)

At the end of the day, I think I'll still be in it for less than a new Jeep Wrangler - with the added bonus that it isn't a new Jeep Wrangler. :meh:

Furthermore - This project is still WAY cheaper than :princess:'s horse, so I'm 100% in the clear on the home front...

I don't include tools because I'll use them again.

^^^ Kind of my thinking...I wish I could get my rig as nice as yours turned out for 15k. I've outsourced too much already to make that happen though...Need more skillz.

there are many times I wonder if I enjoy the building more then the driving... that said, I'm pretty blessed to live in the country, have a huge shop, and tools accumulated over a lifetime... most don't have it and it's really cost effective for them to farm stuff out.
