I spent about two hours on the roof gutter this weekend, hammer/dolly work and welding up about 7 or 8 holes. Then I picked up some Citri-strip and started on the fiberglass roof. After two applications, I got through all the blue and orange paint. It looks like I'll get to learn how to repair fiberglass now.

Sorry.... but new skillz for the resume!

Borrowed a very nice trailer from milemarker60 and hauled my beloved FJ40 to the body shop. He can't start on it for a few months, but at least it's out of my garage, so I have room to work on other projects! I delivered it with almost all the metal work done and in epoxy primer.

I love the way you've organised and labelled your fasteners. I'm definitely stealing that idea for the next build. No more scrabbling around for stuff in a box or bowl! You are a genius!

Paint/body man called last week and is ready to start working on it! Planning on painting it T-332, Seminole Red. Here's an old formula I found for the color:
Super Max Alpha Cryl
TE-1 100
TE-53 780
TE-91 900
TE-79 1000

Also need to pick up a sample of Shell Ivory (or Ivory Shell) T-302. I'm really curious where it lands on the white to yellow spectrum. Lots of newer 40s out there with Cygnus White roofs and bezels, but not many Shell Ivory that are clearly documented.

I’ve been working on the 40 almost every day for the last couple weeks. Just trying to get as much done as possible while the weather is nice. Dragging a lot of parts up out of the basement, cleaning and painting as I go. Painted a bunch of the pewter bits and decided to work on the seats next.

We're you able to find any seals for that back hatch?
I bought the horizontal seals from a limited run here on MUD and I think I got the vertical seals from city racer.

Just went through your thread. It's pretty epic. Admittedly it's your vizsla that brought me here. Hahah I have one too he is just over 1 year and as crazy as ever.
