thanks for the compliments guys, i appreciate it.

i have 11 days left to complete it and will need every one of them.

the skid plat for the tranny cross member bolts installed
driver mirror and windshield hinge installed
passenger windshield hinge and mirror and custom mount. we needed to do a custom mount due to the snorkel. you can not use the hinge mirror arms since they stick out the front. after a bit of debating it was decided that this is the best solution. now that it is installed it just makes too much sense.

the switching is dead simple.
i looked all over mud for a simple system with no relays and couldn't find what i wanted anywhere. i am sure it is there but i couldn't find it.

so here is what i did (schematic to follow):
on all the 80 and 70 series wiring harness the
red wire is light indicator for engaged.
white wire is ground
solid blue is engage
blue with strip is disengage

so you need:
momentary up and down rocker switch with 6 plugs
<Cole Hersee Co model number 58027-11 617-268-2100 Ma phone number>
positive feed to one center
ground feed to other center
solid blue to upper right with jumper to lower left
blue with stripe to lower right with jumper to upper left

push up to engage for 2 sec
push down to disengage for 2 sec

for indicator light:
white to ground feed
red to one side of indicator light
positve feed to other side of indicator light

light comes on when locker is engaged.

super simple.

air box indicator light
secondary fuel sperator indicator light
extenstion to e/brake indicator
speaker wires front and rear
power feed to center tuffy box
power feed to stereo

check back tomorrow for more.

mounting the e/brake with all new hardware

note: this is the mock up dash, the new one is still a virgin:

the elocker switch located
with dash
with 4wd switch installed

in the finished face the lettering will be properly located and the "engaged" lights will be where the dot is.

the new power steering reservoir
the custom plate designed by Rusty
where it goes.

problem is the mounting of the e/brake cable did not match the housing on the disc brake 70 series rear axle.

one issue i had with the manafree bumper was the lack of grease nipples for the swing out accessories.
it has nice brass bushings inserted so 2 grease nipples drilled and taped per corner and life is good again.

i like the result.

so wicked fuel economy at 55 mph or an insane top speed for a 40 series...

LOL, ok, Wayne, please take a video of it at 4700 rpm and 134mph.

Do you have locker lights - when they are engaged they light up?
