Yeah, we are thinking a version 2.0 will update that and a little more once it gets too hot to enjoy the 40 in Florida

It’s fine. Not optimal but this truck needs to be in Florida getting driven not here waiting on a tcase rebuild

Wired up the tailgate light. He’s plug and play now

What kind of tunes you listen to when your jammin on these things? 70’s rock?

Happy Friday all.

The punch list is getting very short on Mustard 78.

One thing I wanted to do was give this paint a final correction and polish

I’ll get some out of shop photos this weekend, but you can really see how a good Polish and wax with the Griots orbital made it pop

I have also been a Griots user since 2012 or so. Amazing what their products can do to “rehab” old single stage paint. Your love for this vehicle shows, nice work man!!!

Voltage regulator came in and turned the alternator on.

All is well in the world.

I’m going to wait until Monday when the TCase transfer hose comes in to do some long range driving. No reason to make that mess again.

You may notice the 12v plug in the cig spot is reading higher than on the Sniper.

I’ve noticed this on my FJ55 with the external regulator but not on my FJ60 with the internal regulator.

Not sure why that happens.

@wngrog Hagerty has a nice video on the Sniper EFI. They dyno'ed a Ford 289 that they'd rebuilt, first with a baseline with a carburetor and then again after doing the Sniper EFI installation. Gives a decent overview of the Sniper system and installation, as well as some data to compare befores and afters. Worth the 10 minutes or so of time to watch, especially for those like me who were only familiar with the Sniper from this thread.

The weather finally turned. The last of the parts were installed.

Time for the rubber to meet the road.

I just completed a 100 mile tour to see the Pearl River floodwaters and put Mustard 78 through its paces.

Zero issues.

None. Tracking and steering are dead on. Throttle. Brakes. All.

My checklist at home was to recenter the steering wheel.

Very, very pleased. This guy gets picked up Thursday and I do declare it is ready for the trip to Florida with no worries.

I'll give it a 👍. Looks like NOS.

Better question, why is there an outline of a body on your driveway?

You must not have seen how fast he drives through there.
