Did you see this?
Thank you SergP

I read the thread and I don't have access to the tools or a machine shop who can make the tool for me.

I called a local Toyota guy and he wants $360 just to center the spindles. I found the tool online for $400, so I would rather buy the tool and do it myself.

Does anyone in the Atlanta area have one for rent or to borrow? If not I might have one soon if anyone in the area needs to borrow one :)

MM

You could post a classified "wanted" ad, or do an advanced search for renting a centering tool. I know they are folks who have rent them out b4. I think you'll need a big caliper too.

I think @TRAIL TAILOR was working on making some more of these..

Knuckle Centering Tool

Thank you. I just ordered the tool. It was $203 with shipping. It is a good deal.

If anyone in the Atlanta area needs to borrow one in about two weeks... let me know :)

Good price. How about I will pay you 100$ (in the future) for rent for few weeks to sheep to NY and I will sent you back when I done? :-)

Do you guys know if there is a PDF print out with the directions and maybe a "fill in the blank" formula for all the math.

This guy seems to have some sort of print out.

Thanks

MM

Also...

In the videos I've watched they pack the bearing with grease before using the tool to mark the center. I talked to a local guy who said NOT to pack the bearing until after you center everything and do the final install.

When should I pack the bearing???

Tool comes with TOYOTA FSM step by step instruction sheet. I grease afterwards.

Want to borrow mine? I'm just north of ya..... Late on catching up with this thread..... Proceed on
Thank you very much. I hope to have more LC projects in the future so hopefully I'll use it again in the future :) I love having a excuse to buy a new tool.

Thanks again for offering!!!

I am planing to use Valvoline Full Synthetic Moly-Fortified Grease for my knuckles and bearings... any objections?

Received the knuckle centering tool in the mail today. Ordered it on Thursday and got it today (Monday). The tool look like it is good quality and was packed well. I ordered a spring scale and a torque wrench from Amazon.

I will post pics as I do it.

.... Any thoughts on my grease choice???
