Picked up a bunch of goodies over the last few weeks.
One of city racers brake boosters, also one of his 3f distributors...albeit with a pertronix in it.
ToyotaMatt offers a bunch of good oem stuff as well, so i got one of his washer bottles with the oem pump on it.
ebayed an old sears dwell/tachs, but it seems to read the tach in half as many rpms...when i set the at 650 it was way too high...setting at about 300 per the meter seems pretty good.

this was an interesting tid bit learned..
It's not terribly upset to run like this down the highway either. If I had to guess, the gear charts that say 2500-2600 rpm at 65mph are pretty close.
There is plenty of pedal as well engine left at that speed. 75-80 mph (actual speed) is easily and rapidly achieved for passing purposes.

decided to throw a tuffy at it. i've been rocking the oe center console for decades and finally got to the point i wanted something more.
their mounting bracket didn't like were my where seats are for some reason. a few spacers later and as was good.
i didn't like how far forward it wanted to be....the shift cane would have wanted to vibrate the knob off of the console in 4th gear....so i just moved it aft an 1" and re-drilled holes.
also figured out i had a pair of the longer passenger side mounts on the back of the drivers side seat...not sure when or why i did that, but replaced them with the shorter pair that belong there, which lowered the seat an 1" or so....which is making me very happy.
it will take me a few days to adjust to the new settings, but i already like having something to lean on...and being able to lock a blaster up in it is a super plus.

Mine too. It just doesn't play well with a drink and the shifter

picked up another garage toy.
finally had enough of the aftermarket weather strip on the ps door and replaced it with oem, luckily the adhesive didn't bite at all, so removal was easy.
i have also grown used to the tuffy, and now think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, there for a bit we were not exactly seeing eye to eye.

Speaking of weatherstrip. My new OEM door weatherstrip won't let the door close without the regulator catch adjusted all the way out, which makes the door stick out really bad. It also leaves a major gap, as the top and bottom have different compression and teeter-totter push on the door regulator in the middle.

I imagine that the weatherstrip is like my bicycle tire tube - if you want the adhesive to stick, you better sand off the smooth mold release first, but I don't know?

Mine is a 'rat-rig' anyway, so I'll try to score a bit of black self-adhesive foam weatherstrip, on a roll, and use that, as I just need it to work for everyday driving.

Driving the wheels off it.
Over 40k miles in around two years.
It sits the 2-3 months over winter with salt on the roads.
From late summer 2018 to this morning.

Had to do something with the spare tire carrier. It really didn't like the 33x10.5 hanging off it..i tried other ways but in the end, i needed to start cutting on it. The end result is pretty stiff now.
I also replace the cool white led dash lights with warm white leds. I had held off on that due to needing to remove the hoods from the cluster in order for the warm white leds to fit, and didnt want to hack on the cluster...but finally caved in...these have an incandescent feel to them....but brighter.

Your carrier turned out nicely. Well thought out.
