Moving 62 from tobacco barn to new building I just bought with 3 partners, 5 minutes from my house!

Drive the truck approximately 10 miles to new shop. When i got there radiator was bubbling over. Of course it's 100 degrees today.

Rear driveshaft is way out of balance. Steering is very loose and I had to pump the brakes to stop.

Here are a couple of pictures including the vacuum switch on firewall (no heater) with long cable missing. I found an old cable in the tryck but no knob.

Took the bucket seats out as well as roll cage but now realize I'm missing brackets that driver's seat goes in.

I do have tool box lid although it's welded to the bucket I think I can salvage it.

There are three different styles of these brackets. Your looking for the style from mid 60 thru the 63 model with the larger tool box. The rectangular tool box was shorter and the brackets are shorter. Mid 60 and earlier the tool box was taller and the brackets are taller.

Does anyone have reference pictures.?

My toolbox is angled and again I do have the lid.

So you do not loose the pin.

:meh:

The pins are welded to the seat frame, the pins are there to keep the seat frame from sliding out of the brackets

What purpose are the small safety chains???

This isn't really making a lot of sense. I call the part that is welded on the ends of the seat frame a post and the small one on the end of the chain a pin. The pin secures the seat frame into the bracket on the floor. Surprisingly they do not come out while four wheeling. Most the brackets I have come across the pins are MIA. Most with just the ring on the bracket but some a piece of the chain still there. I have come across some that have had a small piece of bent round steel instead of he nice machined piece. These were off of later ones I believe. Don't know if this was stock or something home made but I have gotten them off different vehicles. I know my 10/69 FJ40 still has the machined pieces. There is one improvement later seat frames had that was a longer post on the frame end towards the center. This makes is much easier to install the seat. Between working around the steering wheel and then trying to line up both posts at the same time it's a real pain in the a$$.

Since I'm missing these brackets and fabbing my own, anyone know distance between tub floor and hole for seat pivot post?

And does that hole line up with forward most bracket hole?

Any actual dims would be most appreciated!
