@HEAVYMETAL in your OP you show 4 volumes of the 2006 FSM. I've only seen (have) 1 & 2 volumes, what are (in them) volume 3 & 4?

I am headed down to the toyota dealership to ask about the ramifications of unplugging
View attachment 1167690 if you zoom in you can see the letters "ahc". If I unplug, Will this affect the abs or the dome light or some other circuit. I looked in the wiring manual and the system is connected to everything. I'm just playing it safe. Besides I need to safe off something like 20 plug under the cruiser. I was going to buy the matching plugs and tape them off. What say you guys

What where the ramifications of pulling that plug? Did you just tape off any other electrical connections for the other sensors? I'm about to order my AHC replacement suspension also.

Thanks! No side effects at all. All the plugs under the cruiser are hanging in the breeze getting contaminated but no problem it's a closed system.

I am planning a serious trip next year labor day. The Duce... Ducey Eshrim trail in Fresno. I am making a body lift for my cruiser so I can stuff just a little more tire.

If your serious and actually have the time to do the work get all four. But just having vol. 1&2 is great.

Vol.1 is your basic maintenance and all things engine.

Vol.2 all things drivetrain down to the wheels and SUSPENSION.

VOL.3 is your brakes and steering like rack and pinion

Vol.4 is all wiring minor. All interior and many important things like lights comms and sunroof when it leaks.

But I am sure it would hit. Especially with the light bar/roof rack

so to add to this "documented build" thread. I am now doing the following!

1. Replacing ALL bushings everywhere
2. body lift
3. remote oil filter with steel braided lines ran in front of the radiator mounted right next to the air filter
4. repair the viscous fan clutch (if you have a cruiser with more than 100K you probly need this too)

I will post up some pictures.

I have started to remove the rack n pinion and some suspension.

There are just to many to post. So here is a brief synopsis.

in photo above the hydraulic layout- you will remove everything (look at the beginning of this thread for details and more photos)

in the above photo remove ONLY; suspension control ecu and ahc main relay.
the suspension control switch I removed and used the slot to mount three light bars. I had to fish the wires all over the place.

in the above photo remove everything you want or that is in the way. I left the plugs hanging, its ok. do not remove the door switches. again read the beginning of this thread. and ask more questions if you want.

When you get to the hydraulic lines running under the body and over the transmission... Cut them.
