Got the front bumper on, sheew. Not quite color matched the way I'd like, I wonder if the PO's Blizzard Pearl is different since he had a 2003 and mine is a 2001. Perhaps it's just the sun over time changing the color.

Hopefully the back is easier and I can find instructions for it.

Looks great.
How did you get the bolt off?

I looked around online for some bolt removers without having to drill it out and came across the Craftsman Bolt Out Sockets.

They had pretty good reviews so I zipped down to Sears on Jan 1st and picked up a set. It worked like a champ. After I got the bolt out I had to take a small steel punch and a 10 lb hammer to put through the socket to hammer out the bolt off the socket.

Score on the bumpers!

Too bad it doesn't color match - but they're functional, right?

...

I asked Shane about leathers but he didn't have a pattern for the LX, I thought they would be the same as the LC.

Correct that the LX and Toyota are different.

I will replace any ones interior in their LX for free if if I can get the complete interior out of an LX.......All three rows and console.....

It would be a great time to replace the carpet and give it a mack daddy detail as I did on mine (see sig)

Best,

Shane

Would you just want the seats and console cover delivered to you? Or would you want to have the whole LX?

I have 2001 LX down here in Eugene...I would be tempted to have you use it with that kind of offer...

PM'd you Atlas. Depending on what the logistics and time constraints are, I could loan my truck for a bit.

Thanks to spokanecruiser and the information from this thread I performed the following:

Got HIR's ordered from Fine motoring. Since I already have a Morimoto H1 HID kit in the low beams I only ordered HIR1 9011 biulbs which fit inplace of the stock 9005 bulbs with a little modification to the base. The Fine Motoring website needs an face lift, I was concerned that the place was some fly by night outfit because the website looks like s***, but reading other posts of people buying HIRs there and the fact that Candlepower was out of stock I took the plung. Matt emailed me about my order and when it would ship within an hour of placing the order which put me at ease.

Used a big toe nail clipper to mod the base of the HIR1 9011 bulbs from this website. (Also noted in the thread linked above)

I didn't want my new HIRs running all the time and in the FAQ I found out how to get the Daytime Running Lights turned off. Thanks to pequiod and 5cruiser for their information from this thread.

I guess I can't edit my first post anymore which sucks, I was going to mark everything done in the last month or so.

90k Service complete (I found out that the timing belt was replaced at 114k but didn't know if the waterpump had be replaced and since I already had all the parts and wanted piece of mind I went ahead and had the service done anyways)

I also got the Cam and Crank sensors replaced since the front of the engine was exposed for the rest of the 90k service.

BG Oil change, used the the JDM spec 20004 thanks to Trunk Monkey for putting together the 90k service list here. Thanks to CruiserDan for the prices (I felt like I was getting the parts at cost, comparing his prices to my local dealer or Sewell, he was under a good 20-30%. I'll be order pretty much anything I can from him from now on.

Flush power steering fluid

BG Flush of cooling system, add new antifreeze

Got the aftermarket front and rear brakes installed with the shim kits to keep the squeaking down. The strange thing is a noise coming from the driver side front wheel when I make a right hand turn at 10+ mph. I wonder if the rotors I bought are flexing slightly and rubbing against something? I climbed under and there is plenty of space between the rotors and the inside of the wheels, I'll have to search around the forum for brake problems and see what it is. Anyone else with aftermarket front rotors experience this? It sounds like two pieces of metal are rubbing in a circular motion and only happens when I make right hand turns.

Had CV boot repacked with grease and installed pfran's super cv clamps. I forgot to tell the service shop to make sure the rolled edge of the clamp should be facing the boot, guess I'll either have them flipped around or run for a while and see if they cut or tear the boots any.

Flushed the brake fluid, it was black, yikes.

Transmission flush, I think I'm starting to notice the driveline clunk, when I'm coming to a stop there is a bit of a clunk now that the fluid was changed.

Front and real diff fluid changed.

Transfer case fluid changed.

Had the ARB turn lights wired into my existing wiring harness.

Got the cabin air filters replaced (I was going to do this myself using this thread off the FAQ list, but my mechanic got to it first.

Four wheel alignment, rotate and balance tires. for the record Shiromie came with Michelin LTX 275/70 R16. I do have plans for 18's and some new tires but not until I get the AHC in lifted mode and the diff dropped.

Had the headlights adjusted (I need to figure out how to do this myself, I didn't find any posts that showed the adjuster for the low beams)

Full detail (Heck that's the best $195 I spent, the local Dodge/Jeep dealership has a great detail department. I'm amazed at how well this vehicle cleaned up, with the Tuffstuff on the carpets to a couple of replaced interior trim pieces the inside looks brand new. I am often told by passengers that they thought the vehicle was much newer than 2001.

All in with purchase price of $14800, $1700 on bumpers, $630 on slotted and drilled Cryo rotors and high performance brake bads and the rest on some maintenance I'm in about $20500 which is about the going rate for a similar year make and model from dealers and Carmax around my area.

I found Ryan Bascom * * * * * * * * * * * * On The Road Again Mobile Mechanic - Home lives about 5 mins from me so I am having him help me change the AHC fluid and by "help me" I mean, he's going to do it while I watch :)

I still have some budget left for a new head unit stereo system and to fix the speaker covers and worn leather seats which are next on my list.

Shane you get seat patterns made yet?

Ryan came out today and flushed my AHC fluid.

He did a great job, he's got this pressurized sucker that made the job quick and clean. He has my full endorsement for repair and install work. I'll be using him next week to get the rear ARB bumper installed.

Great progress, rig looks super clean. One thing - driveline clunk is typically caused by a lack of grease in the prop shafts. If you are experiencing an issue after changing the trans fluid, it might not be related to the "typical" driveline clunk that most of us experience. Just something to be mindful of.

Got the running boards taken off this morning.

The front sits about an inch and a half lower than the back. I haven't adjusted the T Bars since putting on the ARB Sahara bar and after reading this thread I think that's the next step.

Shane you get seat patterns made yet?

Shane and I couldn't get the logistics worked out. I thought he was in the upper NorCal area but he's in Northern OR. The gas from SF to there would make this project cost prohibitive with my car. Although, I'm anxious to see the final project after he works out the logistics.

My first thought was when I saw the pictuer: what, he hit the street light after all the work done?

Spressofab recovery points installed!

Those Spressofab brackets are stout! I don't know how I ever managed without them. One of the mods mentioned something about running large washers on the clevis pins to keep the shackle centered thus not compromising any of it's strength.

Putting the rear ARB on this morning.

Broke one of the tack welded nuts off in the frame rail. Other than that didn't have any issues.

But thanks to my motorcycle jack and my ih8mud mobile mechanic / all around good guy Ryan (belowdeckfab) we got it muscled up and on the back and into place.

Should get my tire swing out soon and my wheels and tires as well.

I was going to suggest you add the timing belt to your 90k if it hadn't been done but I see you already took care of it.

Good looking truck and good on you for doing a Hundy. This thread has epic potential and I will be watching it closely.
