My 1993 US spec Cruiser has air leaking in on the front passenger side window. It is very annoying and I need some help fixing it. I finally had my son drive while I sat in the passenger seat and isolated the source. The air is coming on the rear vertical part of the window, near the top. It is...
Hi,
the power window switch panel on the driver side has stopped working on my 2001 Cruiser. And to make things worse, the driver window was down and I cannot close it.
None of the switches work, can't control any window, the central locking system or switch to disable window control. All other...
Maybe somebody can point me in the right direction. I was having issues with my driver window working only when it wanted to. So the read the threads and figured id start with a new 'Switchdoctor' main switch. It worked great for maybe a few months and now its back to working when it wants. Im...
Does anyone know how to remove the rear spray nozzle for the back window? Mine has been working intermittenly and the paperclip cleanings don't seem to help. The pump is working great and no busted hose that I can tell. Thanks for any help in advance.
I just picked up a 1963 fj45 SWB fixed top model LC. Both of the rear windows are missing and from what I have researched, I have a better chance of wining the lottery than find a good used set with gaskets. I had an idea though.
I am wondering if I took a set of the rear sliding windows...
I have a 2002 LX and the driver's side window barely rolls up and down. The glass shifts when it does. Figure I need to replace the motor, but don't want to spend $400 for OEM parts. Has anyone tried these from Ebay?

Anyone make light brackets to mount on the window hinge of a 40?
Sort of like this one for a Jeep?
I can make it, but I'm feeling extra lazy at the moment, hoping to buy one or 2.
Thanks,
Eric/Cal-
Has anyone posted a thread where they added the side window defrost guides to their truck? My 5/80 did not have them and I am mulling over the pros and cons of adding them.
So I purchased some window rubber years ago and it's still in the original packaging. I checked on it and most of it is still powdery but one piece is sticky, it may be 1960's or 70's stock but I suppose it's just on its way out, any ideas on proper treatment?
I went to see a 78 landcruiser today, and its the first fj40 I've seen/driven with the intent to buy. I wont be purchasing this particular example, to many unknown leaks, strange aftermarket upgrades, plus a bad respray color change. Ive been researching landcruisers for about a year now, and...
Has anyone ever tried, and if so, with what results, to rebuild the gearbox connected to the window regulator motor? I have three of four windows which absolutely crawl when it's below body temperature outside. I don't want to swap them unless I have to.
My guess is the grease in the gearbox...
I am going to replace a rear window regulator. Does anyone have good instructions on the right way to do this other than just digging in and unbolting "stuff"?
I will be needing a big window carburetor for my '65 when I get back from Germany this Summer.
BTW I'm happy to announce that I will be stationed in Las Vegas next!
I am looking for a used window motor from an 80 series. Doesn't have to be in good condition, I need it for testing purposes. Even if it barely works that is fine by me.
Looking for one in this orientation only:
Thanks for any help!
These are new oem window regulators.
They are new. They were installed and then removed.
This is the motor and regulator.
Each is 175$. That's half the price from Mr. T.
