Hey all, thought I'd put a build thread up for a drawer system I've just started for my FJ62 (as I get so much info from this forum!).
Got the inspiration to build my own, rather than buying some of the 4wdsupacentre ones here in Aus, after seeing dozer18's build thread: FJ62 DIY Cargo Box...
Long story short:
Purchased the FJ40 over a year ago. I'm 22 and have invested 1500 hours, and 15k+ in brand new oem parts, restoration tools, etc...
Took it apart after driving it twice thinking i could restore it quickly.
Took longer than expected.
Was working on it outside my parent's house...
I ditched the factory jack some time back as mine was dodgy and it doesn't work well with a lifted 80. Instead I have a Masada MH-7 which is bigger but made in Japan is high quality.
It does't fit into the factory jack pocket (and that's a pretty poor place to put the jack IMHO).

Up for sale is a KISS Landshark Solo for 100 Series. Passenger Side. I bough this to replace my double drawer system to be able to still use 1 3rd row seat. However, I ended up still keeping my KISS Drawer system. It is still brand new in the box, never opened. It was $444 shipped to me...
only selling to replace with a Solo single side drawer from cruiser dave because I find myself needing 1 of the 3rd row seats these days with extended family moving in with me. this is an awesome setup and ready to go. I black stained the wood, tan carpet and hinged the wings, and installed...
Do any of you have attic storage options in your vehicle over the cargo area? I have seen some use a wire system and others use a netting system. I'd love to be able to find something that I could use in the cargo window areas to store things and get them up off the floor or out of a box for...
Mud!
I'm looking at add some rear storage to the back of my cruiser. I just came across a video of a lady who added shelves to the back of her suburban. Anyone done anything like this?
This system as it stands is the result of two enthusiasts seeking more functionality from the 100 series cargo area with a smaller investment and more versatility than the existing product offerings. The system is lightweight and designed to be a bolt in, plug and play product with the ability...
I haven't used my rear storage in my FJ60 in moons and figured I'd pass it along to someone local who could make more use out of it. It's located in East Nashville.
There's a bunch of photos of it in my build thread, from when it was new. It still all works but has a few miles on it now. This...
Thought I would post a few pics of how I am storing my spare drive shafts on the frame under the 80. Trying to keep as much usable space inside the truck as possible. Found some ubolts at the hardware store and added a few large hose clamps for redundancy. Rear is strapped under the 4x4 labs...
I have a few sets of these units cut and ready for assembly.
Includes:
- Solid 3/4" AC ply construction
- All ply wood edges have 1/8" round over done with router. No sharp edges
- Side compartments flip up for easy to reach storage
- Front compartment (directly behind rear seat) Latch style...
Custom (one-off) rear cargo interior divider designed by me and built super well by WagonRacks. Designed to separate the back of an 80 series to have one side gear, and middle divider to house the fridge on the other side. Roller drawer goes under the rack on the left hand side to handle smaller...
Finished install today. This is a quality setup. Trail Tailor makes a great product. Next weekend side cargo storage, then hopefully the TT sliders and rear bumper will be back from powder coat!!!!
I'm just getting going on a HDJ81 overland build for a South America adventure. I'm going to start a build thread soon but I've been super busy and have a vacation coming up.
Anyway, I keep reading that I want some hidden and lockable storage on my rig somewhere. Large enough for electronics...
Well took some good weekends and with some of Cleo's help we finally finished our sliding storage box and fridge slide for the 80. Always wanted a storage box and after seeing Ron's (@Dimples) build I was inspired to tackle it. Then I decided to take it up a notch and make a customer fridge...
Hi all,
I did attempt a search, but no joy. I do have joy in being the happy owner of a new-to-me LHD 70! I've owned several 60's, a couple of 80's but this is my first 70--stoked!
It, unfortunately--is in storage a few hours a way until I get rid of my current daily. It will be my new DD...
