We have 2 key fobs but only one will start the vehicle. The one that does not start the vehicle has a new battery and will lock and unlock the vehicle but it does not seem to be defeating the security system and allow it to start. Does it need to be reprogrammed ?
Update: cleaned all connections and applied dielectric grease at passenger side kick panel and everything is up and working. There was no sign of water intrusion but i did install a roof rack and new Windshield and will look into those places.
This morning my key fob wouldn't open door. I...
I have two keys for my 2008 LC, one works as normal but I am having trouble with the other. It stopped working unless the key was touching the start button, so I replaced the battery. Issue persisted so I replaced the battery, thinking maybe the first replacement was bad but no change again...
I am supposed to be at work right now but my wife needs the 2006 LX right now. She went out to start it and the key would not turn in the ignition and all of the windows and the sunroof all opened at the same time. I am assuming this is security related. It is winter here and I need to get the...
Morning all. I’ve been halfheartedly searching for a 100 and found one that looks decent. It’s got a clean title, but no keys.
Most of the threads I’ve found seem to be about reprogramming valet keys to become master keys, using tech steam to make it easier.
Would this require a whole new...
Good evening folks,
Hope everyone’s having a good day. I’m having an issue on a newly bought 2002 Land Cruiser. The issue is whenever I insert the key the fuel pump automatically turns on and starts priming. This has caused the car to drain the battery while simply having the key inserted over...
My LC has a key with the fob built in and another key that appears to just be a key (no buttons on the molded plastic parts). I'd like to get another fob type key and have read that I can add/delete with Techstream. What fobs are compatible? I looked at some that have the blade style key that...
Hi together,
maybe someone can help me.
Since I lost my second keyfob the winter before last winter (jepp the car gives a f*** if the key isn’t in the car if you didn’t turned it off sometimes) I decided now to get again a second one just to be safe.
So I did some research, contacted some Toyo...
Good day! Does anyone here know if a 2003 Sequoia is supposed to have a light around the ignition key ring? I saw a Youtube video how to replace the ignition key light bulb for a 2007. If the answer is no for the 2003, can the ignition key cylinders be swapped across year models?
Second Q is...

Hi Al, I am a new 80 owner and am having trouble getting into and out of the vehicle on the driver’s door. The key will not lock or unlock the driver’s door. The central locking mechanism still unlocks and locks the vehicle from the driver’s door however. Any ideas of what this problem may be...
Hello all, I’ve got a 1967 fj45 that I’m having some issues with on the ignition/spark side, it’s getting fuel, air, and everything else except spark, but it does get one spark when I turn the key back to the off position, I’ve got power to the coil when the key is on but no spark when turning...
Pretty cool Toyota collectible from 1972. Functional as well. It's a pure silver Corolla and Celica blank and can actually be cut for use (if you choose). The stamped Japanese text under the TEQ symbol translates to “pure silver”. Toyota provided a small info sheet with these. This particular...
Looks like Toyota has locked down adding keys to people that subscribe to Techstream+additional key service to service pros w/ background checks in order to get a pin to add an additional key fob on new model year Toyotas.
Toyota wanted $150-$220 just to program a new key and my locksmith...
