Anybody know if these will fit a 100 with 1-2" lift? The lengths seem in line with other offerings.
Bilstein website says 5/8" hourglass eye bushing (not sure if that's what we have) and top stem mount.
Seeing a few lengths in 2 valving rates... the ones below caught my eye.
On my '07 GX470 with 105k miles, I am replacing failing OEM shocks with Bilstein 5100's.
The shop that's doing it for me is telling me I have to replace the airbags with springs at the same time. Is that true? Is there some reasonable argument why it's better to convert the whole system all at...
I'm intrested to know if anyone has installed the 6112/5160 shocks on the GX460?
From what I gather, the 4runner versions would fit, but I'm curious about the weight difference. The GX is roughly 5,100 lbs vs the 4,750 on a 4runner.
Does the weight difference merit a higher spring rate than...
Not sure if im understanding this correctly but it appears there are very few options for getting longer travel shocks from our 100's. It seams most are limited to handle 1.5" - 2" lift and maintain enough drop.
If you have lots of $$$$$ and need a lift for 140MPH baja runs " sarcasm everyone...
Selling a set of Bilstein HD 4600 for 100 Series. Shocks work great, just went a different route after lifting. These are great alternative to OEM that provide a more planted ride.
Installed these new in February 2017 and have since put on about 12k miles.
All necessary hardware included...
I am selling my 1995 FZJ80. I love the truck and it has no issues, but I have too many vehicles and I am trying to consolidate down to one vehicle that has what I want. I bought it stock from Ohio in OCT 2015 and shipped it to FL where I was living. Now I am living in Harrisburg, PA. Clean title...
I am selling my GX470 Sport because I am buying a house and don't want the expenses of three cars. I bought the truck from Ohio and I don't think previous owners took care of it how I do based on undercarriage surface rust.
The truck has 121XXX miles and I have spent more than 8K in maintenance...
SELLING THE STOCK FRONT BILSTEIN COILOVERS, REAR COILS, AND UCA'S FROM A 2013 FJ CRUISER. ONLY ABOUT 15K MILES ON THE SUSPENSION PARTS BEFORE I UPGRADED TO AN OME LIFT. ALL PARTS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE, MY FJ CRUISER HAS BEEN BABIED AND HAS BEEN PRETTY MUCH A MALL CRAWLER. ASKING $180 FOR THE WHOLE...
Removed these parts when I replaced everything with ICON Shocks and Metaltech Torsion bars.
(2) Bilstein 4600 Series 24-027397
(2) Bilstein 4600 Series 24-027403
Landcruiser stock springs and torsion bars. (I thought these had been upgraded and provided a slight lift but I'm not...
I realize the correct way to measure for what I need and yes I am taking a shortcut but I know somebody has went this very route and has the answer. I have a new never used set of 4" Downey springs that are going on my 79 fj40. I am intending on putting a set of Bilstein shocks with this setup...
Looking for approximately 2.5 inches of lift for mostly city driving with a couple trips a year down to Moab.
Originally planing on going for the Old Man Emu 2.5 inch kit but the further I dig in the more concern I have about the quality of the dampers. Not ragging on them by any means but...
I purchased and mounted these shocks on my 1988 FJ62 but ended up going with a suspension lift which came with new shocks. They are intended for a stock height FJ62 and are unused. Asking $200 plus shipping for all 4. Over $300 new for all 4. I am located in Seattle, WA.
Considering the Bilsteins for the upcoming shock replacement... but... the OEM shocks are better for my budget. so-
I did some searching and have come up with a few basic differences based on this thread:
Bilstein vs. OEM Shocks
Seems that the Bilsteins provide a more "confident" ride, but...
New here so please forgive me if this isn't the right place to post this. Just want to share this steal of a deal!! Installed this set on my 2000 this weekend.
Front = 24-027397
Rear = 24-027403
4 4600 Series Yellow Shocks with 4 Blue Shock Boots
Background to upgrade/previous setup
Just installed Bilstein 4600's on all 4 this weekend. Picked them up from 4 Wheel Parts in AZ for 279 out the door. First time doing shocks by myself - if I can do it anyone can! My Hundy...
I have a barely used set of 14" travel Bilstein shocks. They are the eye-to-eye shocks common on FJ40s. They got less than a thousand miles on them and are in the boxes ready to ship. I had these for sale before but the sale fell through.
Asking $100 shipped.
My 2009 GX470 has 17 x 7.5 stock rims, and is getting a "leveling lift" with new bilsteins.
I need to replace the tires and would like to go larger, and was wondering how large I could go with the stock rims?
So my 215k mi 1999 100-series is in the shop for repairs (Help Please - 'Broke' 4-High During Extraction from Snow Bank). So while its in the shop's hands, I want to take the opportunity to address the aging suspension and at the very least, replace the desperately-in-need-of-replacement...
