Just placed an order for custom 5 inch lift springs from Alcan spring. Going from a Rancho 2.5 inch lift that sucks I’m excited to feel the difference in ride quality and flex!

Will the Bilstein shocks designed for a 4 inch lift kit work with a 5 inch lift kit or do I need longer shocks?

I have a 1969 FJ40 so rear shocks I need are 4 inches shorter than ones sold as a kit?

Any guidance appreciated! I just couldn’t get 37s to fit without the extra inches up. Didn’t want to cut body any more…

The only way you will know what shocks will work for your setup is to install the springs and then measure your suspension travel. Once you have those numbers then contact the shock company and they will tell you what they have that will work, or won't work.
