I’m looking for a replacement AC Amplifier board. I have one that isn’t working. I think two of the capacitors are blow on it. Thought I would ask if anyone knows where I can find one or if there’s a different part to find before I get the soldering iron out.
Hooking the A/C components back up but the smog pump is not in the best shape.
Any alternatives to putting an idler wheel in there to adjust the tension on the belt without using the smog pump as an idler?
I am trying to chase down a new noise under the hood. Its a sort of "swish" sound that may be either bearing or clutch related on the AC compressor. It cropped up at the end of a long road trip recently. As far as I can tell its coming from the AC compressor pully area.
Can I remove the AC Belt...
I am getting ready to pull my block and want to make my life easier by pulling the condenser. Anyone have recommendations on how to cap the lines? The engine will probably be out a month or longer depending on how much work my block needs and life happens so I want to properly cap them from...
Need some help with this. In 2000 LX AC works only when it's on MAX COLD. Otherwise blows hot air.
I for some reason think it might be inside temp sensor, but not sure. My first idea was to see what sensor reads in Techstream but couldn't find anything like that.
I can only see if AC compressor...
Been working on this project the past few years and just wrapped it up today. Looking to drive to town tonight to give it a road test.
Wanting to keep stock look and function as much as possible. So I felt putting an evaporator in a home made duct that runs from the blower fan to the heater was...
After some troubleshooting of some very loud squealing when my AC tries to engage, it appears my AC clutch is not longer engaging.
My question: do any US models share the same AC clutch assembly?

Hey this question is for those that have put an LS engine in their rigs or general mechanics. The PO installed a LS engine but did not install the AC. So I know I need a Chevy compressor to fit the engine but from there is where I have my questions regarding equipment replacement. The PO left...

First Heater isn't blowing hot air, now AC MOTOR above front passenger feet is clicking like a kid riding a bike with a baseball card in its spokes.
I already flushed the heater core with no improvement.
Is that AC MOTOR above front passenger feet easy to replace?
Are these...
Hi guys, just going through another round of quirks over here. Truck has actually been running great but of course I can't ever leave well enough alone so I have to find something wrong to fix.
The AC not being cold at idle isn't a new issue but thinking they may be related. The new issue is...
Trying to figure out what this leak is for my Dad. 2017 200 (US). Says it’s water and it doesn’t happen when the AC is on just after it rains he notices it. Dealership said they would have to pull the dash to get to it….so big bucks that he doesn’t want to spend. Any help is appreciated as always.
For anybody who has replaced their compressor or messed with a properly functioning one while changing the belt. How much pressure does it take for you to be able to spin the pulley on the front manually? I have my belt off now and everything spins nice and freely but the compressor looks...
Hello, I have a 2000 LC that is my wife’s pride and joy. She refuses to drive anything other and just had an issue pop up with the AC. The forced air and recirc lights alternately flash with the ac on and it stopped blowing cold air. I read the forum on testing for codes by holding both ac and...
Looking for some help here with trying to identify a couple AC connections.
The backstory is that I purchased a Nippon Denso AC evaporator and control box for inside the cab, and all vintage air components are going to be used in the engine compartment.
On the Denso AC unit, I need to...

AC leak appeared. A fresh refrigerant charge only lasted 7 days.
Dealership Quoted me $5,600 ($3600 labor/ $2,000) to replace all AC lines front to rear. ;)
There is an obvious leak behind the Drivers Side Rear wheel. The manual shows o-rings at this connection. Does anyone know what O-rings...
