I am not excited about this sale but for financial reasons I need to sell it. I purchased this truck as a project for the purpose of using it as a daily driver and trail rig. It is not perfect as it some flaws but it would make a great daily driver or trail rig as were my intentions.

I would like to buy a post production September 1976 FJ40 for a restoration project. Motor not important as it will be swapped, but body and frame condition is. I am getting ready to leave for yet another deployment and have decided that it is not fair to my baby (my landcruiser) to let her sit any longer. Need some advice on the best way to sell my 70 FJ40 (methods, fair prices, etc)
It is stock with the usual rust (rear quarter, running boards, ect) Stock straight engine, three speed on column, etc. I believe that I am the third owner and it ran well before but continued deployments and time stationed over seas have taken some toll. I just rebuilt the front end (brake shoes, seals, inner bearings, brake cylinders, and tie rods) but there is still more to do (was just getting to the engine work). I have run out of time before deploying and I have not adjusted the new brake cylinders...

I am selling my FJ40 project.

1972 Fj40 original paint, original interior, original motor and drivetrain. Manafre rebuilt motor 2000 miles old. 185K on chassis. No aftermarket body modifications. Four inch suspension lift by safari springs and aftermarket wheels. motor has Rochester carb and header otherwise stock. transmission and transfercase work very well, never any issues. front/rear axles are stock no lockers(never had the need for them). was asking 11,500.00 willing to accept offers in the 10,000-11,000 range. Willing to accept partial trade for a clean FJ 60 or Range Rover Classic '89-'91. Thanks for looking.

Anyway, just seeing if there are any out there? I'm looking for as bone stock as possible. I would consider a good fj40 as well. I don't want to spend a fortune on a museum piece, but this would be my daily driver. I would like a/c but realize I can add that later.

Have been looking for an FJ40 v8 conversion (vortec preferred) to purchase. Things I would like are an aluminum tub (not absolute, but preferred), disc brakes, PS, AC, hard top not necessary, prefer an NV-4500 auto transmission. Any alteration must be professionally done. Any or all of the things above are not deal killers as I plan on having Proffitts complete the rig for me.
Please let me know what you got, or know of. Any help will be greatly appreciated
