Rear Heater (1 Viewer)

This may be old but could not find anything.I have a 70 with the stock rear heater well the moter went out.Gonna take it out in the snow in a couple weeks does anyone know a fan that will go in and mount easy.I haven't even looked at it yet other than try to turn the moter.Any help would be great

There's at least a 50-50 chance you could revive the motor with a careful disassembly and some electrical contact cleaner.

Yup. In fact, it could just be that the ground wire/bolt is corroded.

Or could be worn brushes/commutator. At least take he motor apart and check the brushes (replace if too short), Clean/dress the commutator to remove any grooves and the carbon arching, and lube the top and bottom motor bearings. Also as suggested check all connections for corrosion.

I may be selling the one from my 74 sometime near the end of the month...once i figure out how to take out those T connectors...lines n all. Motor works great but the cooler itself isn't as warm as it could be. PM if you're going to be interested.

Thanks everyone I pulled mine apart and cleaned it and it will work for now
