If only you knew an old TV repairman. Used an old fellow to repair the board on a1985 BJ70. He did it for free...mind you I did buy him coffee.

I did see the Mr Landcruiser video and as it happens there is a Czech guy on eBay who sells new boards that fit in the old box for £100. It might help but my wiring is so bad I really need a rhd harness from sonewhere.

Hi Neilo, thanks, yes I did read you post it was really helpful, I copied you and I swapped the connectors. But it didn’t work, I think my wiring is still shot somewhere or the control relay is toast.

I only have a tiny brain and I can’t seem to fix my Bj40 2B from being stuck in overinject, please can someone tell me what I am missing. It will go to the stop position but when you start it goes to overinject and stays there, never seems to go...

I also thought it must be like a switch, stop when the key is off, run when running, so mine is stuck in the starting position or stop. Got to wiring somewhere, maybe back to the ignition Wise words about the posting in the diesel section...

Thanks for the manual, I had a read through and just wondering if the fact my oil sensor isn’t wired up could be the problem?

Will it stop running if I turn the key off? Do I leave of permanently or just to see if the smoke goes?

If you don't have a copy of the manual for your engine, download a copy from the Cruiser Cult website: B, 3B, 13B-T Engine Manual Diagnostics etc for the EDIC start around page 274.

Sorry to be a pest, I do really appreciate all the help my truck is becoming more usable all the time. I have not had my BJ40 long and it puffs out a lot of black smoke. I read all the old post I can about EDIC arms and now I am totally lost. But...

With the vertical glass well treated, I could just kick the rear bumper as a I was walking up to the rig and the ice and snow would fall off all the windows - no scraping required. I do all the outside light lens too. Some suction cup items...

With low air flow the air will be more likely to short circuit. Air being discharged with head right back to the fan. If you have a high humidity problem will also have no way to bring in outside air. Once Toyota started building FJ40s with a...

The brushless fans are only about $10 so if it’s not strong enough I guess I could put another in the bottom. It’s in tight without any fixings so I can always pull it out if it doesn’t work out

That looks good, it will probably not have the CFM of the squirrel cage fan in the engine compartment, but it will certainly draw in air. Nice idea.

Thanks, my wiring is mess as well, it’s on the list. I think if it works enough to stop her misting up in Welsh rain it will be good enough for me.

Just wondering if anyone has tried putting a fan in a heater box. I have RHD BJ40 with no heater but I do have a LHD heater box and fan. I was thinking of putting the heater box in but with its own in built fan, would it work or am I being stupid?
