Future plans:

I am going to mount 285/75/16s on Friday. I will go ahead and mount one on the spare while im at it. The 450 has new tires but I want to go to a slightly bigger size and I really like the BFG ATs.

I am waiting for the weather to clear up so I can strip the interior and completly sound deaden the interior. I did this to my F250 and it really quieted down.

I obvioulsy still have to finish doing the maintenance on the rig to ensure it is running at optimal level.

I wont be in the states for the rest of the year but when I get back I plan to add
2.5 lift
front bumper
rear bumper
dual battery
sliders
new leather for the interior ( even though the current one is in very good shape)

and I am sure the list will continue

Very nice find! I believe extra sound deadening is one of the few differences between the LX and LC. I suppose you can always add more though.

Sorry,
I have not had much progress with this build.

The only real progress is that I managed to install the Slee sliders.

Other than that I am still continuing the planning and ordering parts until I can get some time at home.

Here is a pic of the LX450 with the sliders installed next to my other project 82 first gen.

Another month away from home but more parts ordered.

This round includes:
Slee front bumper
Slee transfer case protection
Slee Dual battery kit
Dual battery tray
Windshield washer bottle relocator

Not necessarily needed for the vehicle but will be mounted to it:

ARB Simpson 3 RTT
ARB 80 quart fridge
Bajarack utility rack

And a few recovery items to replace old stuff that has worn out over the years.

Can't wait to get the garage full of parts installed in the LX. I just have to make it back to the States some day.

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but here goes.

I am planning a trip out west for a month. It will include California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.

Part of the plan is to ship my lx450 to either LA or Las Vegas and fly out.

Does anybody have a transport company that they have used in the past that they recommend.
I am also planning to transport my lx to a shop at either city that will receive it for me on that end. Not sure if this makes sense but I don't know any one out there so I don't see any other way to do this.

Any suggestions, recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Been a while. I guess it time for an update.

Mounted new bajarack
New slee front bumper
New 12k winch with synthetic line

Had to replace radiator with a new metal one from Onur and fixed my temperature gauge.

Dual battery system is almost done, just have to hook up the batteries.

Hopefully if the weather allows I will install the OME 2.5 lift and the 4x4 lab rear bumper this weekend.

Here is what it looks like now.

It is unfortanate that the radiator went out right before my month long trip out west. I had to leave the Lexus and take my F250.

I have to get better pics of it and not just in the driveway.

By the way while out west I picked up this cool little trailer.

Now I just have to get the rear bumper welded up so I can tow it and go camping.

Small update

Been daily driving the 450 for a couple months since I have been home with zero issues. Took it on a 700 mile trip to an ORV park and did most of the easier trails (was by myself so did not want to do anything more challenging) without any issues.

Took my boys to explore some caves as well
It pulled the trailer with out any issues other than slowing way down on any type of hill climb.

Some pictures.

Planning to attending cruiser crawl at another ORV park next weekend so hopefully this time my boys allow me to take some good pictures and some videos

I have been planning to do it for a few weeks just haven't found the time or the weather sucks. I need to get it on by the time I leave for the crawl on Thursday though.

We'll see

shortbus silver LX, best combo

i may be biased

Super jealous on the trailer, those are built so dam well.

No real progress but how about pictures of some more work trucks?

Dude...with the amount of time you're gone, you must be a CIF guy or something!

Not a CIF guy. Just a regular guy that is good at what he does.
