What about just a basic aluminum replacement for the crap press-board? No holes.

Is this still ongoing, or did it get 86'd due to manufacturing costs? I'd still love to have one.

Give me a few days. Just met with a really small shop that is trying to expand and I’m giving them a reason. I got in some pricing for other stuff and so far things are looking much better. Can’t do much with the cost drive up of steel and aluminum but at least it’s not in the ridiculous region anymore with these guys.

I just pulled the trigger on production on these. I'm hoping I'm not going to be staring at two dozen of these things on my shelf for the next two years :(

I'm just doing the insert/shelf, at least for the time being until I see just how fickle this crowd really is :flipoff2:

I saw the email on these....I want one. Quick question...I know there is a light bulb in my box now, although if I remember right mine does not currently work....does it have a cutout for that?

Yes. I was going to go another direction with lighting but it was proving to be a roadblock so I just kept as is.

Outstanding! I smell a Christmas gift for myself....

Just to show you guys how much of a nut I am AND to illustrate how important this project is to me. The production version that will shipping out will be stitch welded on four sides because all four sides will be bent in to give its final shape. But to make sure the final piece is EXACTLY the shape it is supposed to be, a gauge was made up to guarantee each is true to the golden standard shape I want.
