I did the Google searches and found the results, but I'm hoping to have a bit of a broader conversation on this.

Where did you buy your EGR delete parts (plug, plate, bolts and gasket)?

Do you regret buying the parts you did?

Is there a best EGR delete kit for sale out there?

@FJ62INTX is where I got mine. I didn't use everything he sent but most of it.

I can email you my Delete write up. I used Spook's write up and broke it down in to novice terms with pics.

Message me you email address.

@NLXTACY has the "key chains" ;) you need to block the ports. You need a resistor on the '96 in order to keep the check engine light happy but you really don't need to pull all of the stuff, just disable it. If you want to yank it, buy the key chains.

I’m being lazy and haven’t done a search, but what’s the pros and cons of an EGR delete on these?

Plus when I had my P0401 code my truck would always ping off idle when it was hot. Once I fixed everything and the EGR system was working my pinging has stopped. The introduction of EGR in the combustion actually lowers combustion temperatures.

It gets rid of that angry pipe that wants to melt up all of your main wiring harness wires. I have a '94 and I just made a jumper wire and wrapped it with tape in the event that my state wants to get dumber somehow.

If the harness is tied in place, how it should be, it cant touch the pipe.

If you want it to look like it is functional, BB's in each hose at manifold works very well and you real don't notice them and resistor or paper clip to prevent codes. 2 years so far no codes:flipoff2:
