Another one in my hood. This ‘72 I’ve seen on numerous occasions always at the nearby park and I’ve spoken to the long time owner. The fun part is it’s almost a twin of my Blue Meanie.
l know of 1 other 40 series (45) its sitting in bits on the guys drive..you all know the resto in progress.. so far his is about 3yrs maybe more...mine is mobile & ongoing.. like others the ute creates mostly smiles, the odd picture taken and some convo's.. Every now and then, you catch one. Out on the dirt or rattling down some two-lane highway. A 40 series. Not on a trailer. Not behind glass or rusting away out in a field, but out doing what it was built to do. If you happen to see one out there under it’s own power, let’s see it and hear about the journey!
Bonus points if you spot one through the bug-splattered windshield of your own Cruiser (be safe!).
