Wow... Iron pulchritude.

Now I need a grape cigarello and a 40 (glass kind)

You wasted your time already.

If you would have asked me, I'd have talked you into not only going whole hog on the rebuild, but also investing in such awesomeness as a powder coating booth for the project. ;)

I'm liking what I see.

And, I didn't see that you had acquired an engine stand yet, but if not: get a geared head stand. With the head on, the 2F is an absolute bear to rotate without a geared head.

I'll be watching this thread...

Hello Brother Dan. :)

Actually, some powder coating has been done already in preparation:

- VC
- air cleaner assy
-thermo housing halves
-AC bracket
- alternator bracket
-smog bracket (to be utilized with JimC's pulley)

The side cover will also receive the powdercoating treatment as well. :)

Good call on the engine stand as I have not made that capital investment yet. Going to borrow the picker but do want to purchase my own stand since there will be a 1FZ project in the near future as well once this one is completed. :)

Hope you are well!

So awesome. Keep it looking clean forever, even for those of us who despise cleaning trucks!

Here's what we've got, and I need to buy another one since I keep having engines sprout up around here. You could spin the 12HT with it fully built without issue, which really speeds up working by yourself.

When we had Andy's 2F on the simple engine stand, it took two of us to swing it back upright once it was fully built.

Hope you are well!

Busy, busy, and more busy. But very well indeed.

Dan

Well, finally took advantage of my friend Cruiser Jimmy coming through town and got everything pulled out.

Now, disassembly, cleaning, then machine shop, them rebuild.

It's nice to get rolling again as these projects can sometimes linger.

And the end result... Ready and waiting for me to get ambitious again.

Thanks to CID 96 for letting me borrow his engine hoist.

Who's the fat guy with the beard? I'd say you're liking mom's home cooking.:flipoff2:back at ya.

Good to see this motor getting what it needs. Lots of Cruiser karma in this one.

You gonna go with those 1.5mm over pistons you have? This is going to be a great engine build. Jealous.

:flipoff2:Yo biotch, how many old school coffee can filters you need?

Well I have about 60 of them so that should be good for the 1FZ as well as the 2F for many years to come (considering I do 1 oil change on each a year).

:)

"It takes me all night what I use to do all night long." Love it!!

Glad I could help out Onur. Now you get to clean up all the parts :hillbilly: and the engine bay.
Again, that is one sweet 60.

As CDan (originator of this saying) would correct: "it takes me all night to do what I used to be able to do all night long."

Thanks for all your help my good ole' friend. Nice hanging this weekend indeed.

And thanks for the pointers-- would've taken me way longer if I was doing this myself on a bad knee.
