Also, don't forget to mount the throttle linkage bracket underneath the 2 outer carb nuts.
I just put it on to get a glimpse of hope for my future!

THIS
is what is going to happen when you get very close to "done".
Your list will get smaller and smaller of things you gotta do.
You will double check everything you can three times, which actually means you will check everything 6 times.
You will still have that nagging feeling that maybe you installed the distributor 360º out when #1 was at TDC exhaust instead of compression. You'll know (think) you did it right, but "What If?"
You will think of some other little thing that needs to be replaced.
Your list will shrink to 1 or 2 more items.
You will then add a few more items to the list....
BECAUSE....
You will want to put off trying to start the engine "until tomorrow".
You will find some reason the next day to put it off "until tomorrow"
Then you'll look at your list and realize there is nothing left on it and that sick feeling of nervousness will rise up.
Then you'll think of an excuse to put if of "until tomorrow" again.
THEN
You'll say to yourself "This is ridiculous! What am I going to do... Never start the car again?"
So tomorrow will be the big day.
WHEN
Tomorrow comes you will walk out to the car with a nervous feeling, knowing that today is THE day.
You will remind yourself (for the 5th time) that your power steering fluid has been filled and the system is full of ATF and bled.
You will stick the key in the ignition and feel that sick feeling again.
You'll then say F#$K it and turn the key....
OF COURSE
You'll know that it won't start instantly cuz the fuel lines and carb are dry, but the racket of the starter turning over the dead engine will sound like mourning bells at a funeral.
So you'll turn the starter over a few times without pumping the accellerator to prime the carb. Then you'll walk back out to the engine and check to see if you can see gas through the sight window.
Then you'll see the gas in there when you look real hard and shake the car... and THEN you know the moment of reckoning has come. Oh god..This is It.
YOU
Will pull the choke, pump the gas, wait several seconds and then....... TURN THE KEY>
and BLAMMO!
It will spring to life! Holy S*&T!
Maybe a little rough the first few seconds and a little clicky with a couple loose valves, but man it's running! It's running good! And every neuron in your brain will be trying to calculate what is going on at that instant with the 1365 new parts you just installed in the engine.
You'll let it idle for a little bit and quickly run out and check for any big leaks or disasters.
You'll see what looks like way too much white "smoke" billowing out of the exhaust pipe, and you'll try to assure yourself that it is just water vapor and not coolant burning off from a botched HG install.
You'll then stop the motor after this short while to check everything.... and the most GIANT smile will come to your face.
You Did It!

Santa came a little late this year, but the gift was priceless. Thanks Santa.
Including my collection at home, I now have enough for the life of the 2F after rebuild as well as my 1FZ-FE.

Is that a wall in your house?![]()
Ring, Ring...AUS, we have a problem and need your help!
so basically what you are doing is taking the air "tub" from the 62 filter and then mating the 7x series top to that (natural fit) and then need the portion of the 60 filter housing without the filter housing itself just the carb attachment and then taking a hose between the two?
He needs a 3F "carb hat". That is the Unicorn in the room.
Of Course something could be fabricated but to follow the theme he needs a real one.
As always, correct sir.
So. . .a part that that if someone could put their hands on. . .might be worth...umm...10 min shopping spree at YOUR house?
