I know its a long shot but it might be worth joining and asking?

They make a big difference... not that we should do anything illegal to our trucks or anything ;)

Show off!! :)
I have one of those...but it's on my desmoged 60, with the 80/62 filter on the PS fender. I'd send it to you, but then I'd need to install a Toy diesel...

Try emailing Queensland Cruisers, they keep heaps of parts in stock. Not sure if they deliver overseas, if they don't I can pick up and ship it to you.
Keep up the good work!

Thank you sir. I have a possible lead out of Oz so will update when I find out if it comes to fruition.

Wow, that motor is too clean to run. Looks like it could be an art piece in the corner of the house all lit up.
Nice work!

I don't think they'll even let you across the California state line with that thing. ;)

There's a 'F' for front? how did I miss that?!? I So that little tang that is on the rear of my setup is supposed to be on the front! I also noticed you were able to buy the center inter-mani bolt. My local Toyota dealer said it was disc. Do you remember what you torqued those to? I guessed when doing mine since there were no specs. Started with 15ftlbs then 2nd guessed it and went to 18ftlbs.

And then the manifold gaskets installed.... I like the little "F" with an arrow indicating the front of the engine.

Onur, that exhaust/head gasket you used (OE, of course) was it a 17172-61030 or 61031 ? Asking becasue I've never seen one with that 'tab' to indicate front... Are those Victor Japan or Fel-Pro ?

@beno ; New 89 FJ62 owner here. Interested in acquiring the FSM - is that something you are able to assist with? PM me if needed.

colk22 - pdf versions all over the place ... Even in my sig line ;)

Roger. Downloaded several manuals from a dropbox linked to a sig line after doing a little more digging. Would purchase a physical copy at some point down the road.

Thanks for the tip!

Since I'm taking my manifold off to check that the 'F' is in the right orientation and retorquing, I thought I'd ask about the new style end bolts on the exh. ears. Spike strip has the same style but don't think yours does. They are black 14 mm hex, and have a raised area next to the washer that digs in as you tighten, the others are 17mm and look normal. The manual calls for 33ft lbs for all, but it would seem like the 14mm should be less.

Your thread has been a blast to keep up with, and has been inspiring as others have said, hope/glad you are feeling better!

I don't know about 'new style' bolt, but I bought the manifold bolts/studs "kit" from SOR about 5 years ago. I *think* the studs were bagged OE toyota and the bolts were loose.
